Elixir String woot woot!!! Share your thoughts!!! Prog on!!!

sana meron din guitar na naka display equipped with elixir strings para ma feel bago bumili..

anyway ok siya ahhahahaha!!pag naka hawak kna ng elixir strings parang ibang mundo na ibang strings hahahaha!

There is a guitar in Lyric MOA, an ESP Horizon 7 which i used for gas day, I used elixir on the guitar.

woaw ambilis. yung sakin no signs of wear. mag 1 year na.. the other set since october pa. anyways, imma buy a new set for my tele later. di pa kasi nakaelixirs yun. di ko pa napapalitan ng strings eversince i acquired it nung december. gonna get nanos again. di ko talaga trip yung feel ng polys at parang hindi bagay sa tele..

kasi kapag pume-pwesto ka 5 o 6x a week,dun mo talaga matetest kung matibay yung strings,pero kung bedroom/weekend gigs lang,di masyadong stressed yung strings.

It is also very subjective lalo na if you are a heavy picker. Had a lot of gigs using a trem equipped guitar, pulling on the bar violently, for 3-4 months straight no broken strings yet.

Every time you use other strings, they tarnish and get ugly real fast, with Elixirs, it'll take awhile before they get to that. You can spend on other brands 2-3x a month on string changes than one string change of Elixir that would last 3-6 months. You do the math.

Still subjective to different players. Mine lasts for 4 months. Not bad at all. That's why i never looked back at other strings anymore.

kasama na ako for about 2 months na ata. oo pare di hamak na ok sa eball. no stir. dati need ko pa magfast fret para sumarap ang dulas ito ok na ok pa rin. ang ganda pa ng tone! ok din midrange nya

i have tried nanoweb. gusto ko yung dulas niya, sarap magslide and yung tone di nagbago from day 1 up to the day na tinanggal ko siya. it stayed on my guitar for a month. after 2 weeks of use nagkaroon na ng sandy/grity feeling yung treble strings pag nagbebend up/down ako kaya 1 month lang inabot. another thing na di ko nagustuhan is 10s yung kinabit ko pero parang 11s yung feel.

i will try polyweb 9s baka mas magustuhan ko.

Try a 9-46 nano, it's like the Hybrids of EB but stays beautiful for quite a long time.  Prog on!

one to two sets depending on venue, none stop of picking and fretting all over the board for technical playing, and abusive whammy use.

Normal strings, less than a few days palit na ako, either naputulan or intonation has gone bad because the strings are heavily dented by the frets.

Sobrang pawisin ang kamay ko pero 2 days na makintab parin tong nasa acoustic ko. Unlike sa ibang brand na 15 mins ko palang magamit eh grayish na agad. Pareho lang ung feel nya sa ibang brand.

Pwede pa sigurong ibenta ito ng mas mura kahit gamit na hahaha

bought my set of 10's Polyweb last Dec. 2011 ( coz of this thread  ), 4 to 5 gigs after konting fastfret lang after gig,  tapos wala pang gig this January... STILL NO SIGNS OF KALAWANG!

so that's why, i do only twice a week gigging but everyday practice in an airconditioned room.. thanks for the info sir..

Yep meron, I asked the saleslady when I bought my 7 string Elixir set earlier in Festival Mall. I think P150 per piece.
