Ang sweet ng tunog ng elixir, di ako nag sisi bumili ng elixir one month ko ng gamit ngayon pero ganun pa din, alaga lang sa punas , linis mabigat lng talaga sa bulsa ang elixir

eto rin ang observation ko sa elixirs. have mine on for a month now. still bright, although may konting loss na since day 1 sa brightness nya. point is, hindi madaling mamatay yung tunog ng strings.

Ok na rin na naka subok ako,pero i wont buy again...for the price? This is not for the gigging guitarist,olats ka dito kung pumepwesto ka 5-6x a week,mas mabilis ma sintunado yung strings at that pace,plus home usage. Panalo yung tunog,yung durability, ok naman, intonation lang talaga after 2 months yung sablay.

Regular din akong nagi-gig, pag elixir ang gamit ko every 3-4 weeks ang palit ko pero no maintenance yon pero kung regular strings kelangan kong magpalit every 4-5 days. I'm one of those people na acidic yung pawis kaya ika-2nd or 3rd day pa lang ng freshly installed regular strings may rust na at off na yung intonation. Ang workaround ko non para tumagal ang regulars ay punasan ng cloth na binasa ng WD40 bago ilagay sa case pero di pa rin kasing tagal ng Elixir yung life ng string. So in a month naka 3-4 regular sets na ko pero 1 set pa lang ng Elixir. Mas mura pa rin at less hassle ng string change.

siguro kung acidic ka talaga pero sa mga non acidic o mga hindi pawisin yung kamay tulad ko,tumatagal yung reg strings. di mo ba napapansin yung intonation?

   Pansin din kaya mga 3 weeks lang palit na agad yung Elixir pero kung regular 3-4 days lang wala na sa tono yung string. Nagulat nga ako na lumalagpas 1 month sa yo yung Elixir, wala na nga sa tono yon. Napansin ko rin na mas nare-retain yung intonation pag heavier gauge yung string. Minsan depende rin sa type at quality ng frets mo cause ng wear and tear ng strings. So pag regular sayo gano katagal umaabot? Kung mahigit 2 weeks swerte mo, pero imo any set of string na past a month of heavy use ay sira na intonation. Anong brand ba ng regulars gamit mo? Baka di ko pa nasubukan yan.

   It looks like there are several brands now that offer coated strings. I tried D'Addario EXP (coated) once and that was a complete waste of time and money. Very dull ang tunog sa fresh install. I will try Curt Mangan and Cleartone next time since same price lang naman ng Elixir.

just installed a nanoweb 10's on my guitar. 

not as bright as D'Addario's but I love how it sounds when it's plugged.
but Im surprised on the sustain it produced.

just installed my elixirs yesterday! sarap mag gitara! got it at tom lee's hk for $100. sana magkaroon din ang lyric ng light to heavy gauge (10-52's) dito.

it's been 4 months na ata and my strings feel like new strings as comapred to ernie balls after a week. grabe. really, elixirs for life na ako. may gauge 9 set at gauge 11 set na pyramid strings ako. trade ko sa elixirs 10s set nyo. hehe.

well, still works for me since mas matipid sya. practical choice

for me the tone is not as bright as d'addario's. parang dull yung tone nya as compared sa d'addarios. maybe it's not for the construction of my guitar, or maybe its just me.

Interesting.. I find them brighter than most of the other strings I've had (D'addario, Pyramid, GHS, Gibson, Fender, Ernie Ball). It's one of the reasons why I currently have Pyramids on my Strat, which is fairly bright.

I dont know, but as Ive really noticed, d'addario was brighter when installed to my guitar. maybe it depends on the wood of the guitar? Mine has a solid mahogany body with 5pc maple/walnut neck.

Agree. Mas snappy at may high end ang D'Addario (10's) compared sa Elixir (10's). Siguro factor na rin yung coating at yung pagiging stiff ng Elixir.

+1 at medyo nakakapanibago gamitin kasi madulas siya but I use it kasi makakatipid ako.

aside sa mkakatipid ka, less maintenance pa. no need for regular wiping of fast fret. once or twice a week lang pwede na. 
nakakapanibago lang talaga kung sanay ka sa d'addario. still works fine for me though.

After 1 year with Mariposa, 1 year with Alice, 2 years with Ernie Balls, 1 year with RotoSound, 5 years of D'Addario... time for change, tignan ko if gaano ako magtatagal sa Elixirs!
