Yeah, I read before that both american standard strats and teles have HSH routing.  I can even slap on a middle pickup in the future if ever.  My 2009 American Deluxe also has HSH.

I'm curious why there is a small circular rout there and what that is for.

My MIM strat before had a small hole there as well. I don't know what it's for. Maybe we could put some coins for added toanz and value.

nice Mark! always wanted to try out a tele with a humbucker neck. sana pag nag-tone party ulit sa inyo, makasama na ako. 

i was actually thinking of doing the same thing to my SX tele but i chose to go the traditional pickup combination because having a humbucker neck will bring forth the debate of pot value, tone capacitor value, etc. the pot value should also be in-sync with the tone cap value. sa traditional pickup combination kasi since both single coils, the 250k pot + .047uF tone cap formula still works.

Yeah, yun nga eh.  There are S-H teles like the roadworn player tele.  I wonder what's the circuitry of that.  The other option is to get a bright neck pickup like the dimarzio EJ custom to counter the low pot value.  Sige maxi, next time, sama ka!

And maxi - yung isa pa palang constraint is the routing.  Yung SX ba is also HSH or swimming pool routed?  Kasi pag hindi, maghuhkay ng kahoy.  By the way, I love SX guitars.  They look really good, and with the right setup, it plays well, and most of all, the price is really good.

Mark - hindi ko pa nabuksan yung SX tele ko eh. pero as much as possible, i work with what i have. kung pwedeng hindi na maghukay ng kahoy, huwag na. pero baka ipa-string through ko lang, not sure pa. just got my SX from a trade. can't wait to have it set-up. pagdating ng pickups ko (sana bukas, sa office ko ipapa-ship. pakita ko sayo. hehe!), complete na yung upgrades ko for this.

This is proof na maganda ang SX, dahil pag binuksan, maganda pa din yung finish even sa loob.  Parang ganyan yung loob ng '96 MIA Fender strat floyd ko, malinis.

@maxi - Yeah, baka string through will make a big difference.  May nakita ako sa micsis thread na ganun, I asked the person, gumanda daw yung tunog.  Sige, patingin ako ng pickups pag dating!  Ano yung inorder mo na pups?

hindi ko na pala napakita yung pickups. tonerider yung kinuha ko, naka-sale sa Guitar Salon. taga-Makati din yung mag-install. balitaan kita kung kelan kami mag-meet.

Nothing special. Patient filing lang. I can't stress PATIENCE enough. Madali kasing manggigil sa pagliha.

If you really want to learn, Freddy Gabrsek has this awesome tutorial. Set aside an hour or so to watch everything.

I may have to redo a couple of frets. It took me until now to notice that they weren't seated well.

im planning to have the speaker of my amp (Maxon GX10, solidstate) upgraded from 8inches to 12... the problem is, i don't know kung ano yung pwede replacement.. nalilito kasi ako sa specs.. "GX10" yung nakalagay pero sa likod, parang 14 watts yung  nakalagay... tapos, assuming na 15 watts nga, yung speakers naman, sabi, yung rating niya, 4ohms...

pwede ba na ang gawin kong replacement ay 15 watts na 12in speaker, 8ohms?

any speaker that has the exact same impedance (4 ohms). power rating should be at least 15W or higher
