Yekoz, bro, sa mammoth electronics ko nabili, meron din sila iba ibang kulay.  Pero medyo madali din matanggal yung paint.  Pero oks na din.

Just checked my long overdue project for a mockup. Noticed that there was a slight upward bow even when the truss rod is loose.

Left it overnight to settle.

Hi PM. Tanong ko lang sana kung paano ako mag.di.drill ng hole sa aking zoom g3 for the patch mod. How to drill a hole "safely" and what tools do I need. And meron po bang drill na kamay lang ang pinaiikot. Ung tipong manual lang para safe tlga ang pagkabutos. Pasensya na, newbie talaga when it comes to modding.

This is my first time to attempt a DIY repair sa gitara at this level. My specific questions are;

1. Would "stickwell" wood glue work for this job? If not, ano yung marerekomenda nyo?
2. Is sanding recommended before applying glue? If yes, anong grit?
3. Once glue is applied, gano katagal sya dapat i-cure bago ko kabitan ng strings?
4. Ano pa yung mga specific reminders in doing this particular repair?

Your replies would be greatly appreciated!

This is my first time to attempt a DIY repair sa gitara at this level. My specific questions are;

1. Would "stickwell" wood glue work for this job? If not, ano yung marerekomenda nyo? Yes. You could buy Elmers wood glue too. Tip: masmura sa National Bookstore
2. Is sanding recommended before applying glue? If yes, anong grit? Yes. Kahit 100 lang pwede na.
3. Once glue is applied, gano katagal sya dapat i-cure bago ko kabitan ng strings? Give it 24 hours
4. Ano pa yung mga specific reminders in doing this particular repair? Make sure both the neck and fretboard is true before gluing. I suggest buying a carpenter's level to attach the sandpaper to. You will need to check if the frets are level after.

Your replies would be greatly appreciated!

I bought mine at ACE Viramall months ago. Section where you find scotch brite products. I found some in ACE Taytay not too long ago, too.

By the way, forgot to ask. I have read that C-clamps are recommended for holding the newly glued neck, but in the event that once can't find any C-clamps, are there any home-material alternatives? I was thinking of using heavy rubber strips (like cut tire interiors) to hold the fret  board and neck in place.

Hi guys! I've been reading up on this thread and on others as well about DIY cabinet making. The posts are very informative. I've one question though. Where can you purchase speakers? Celestion, Eminence, etc. Or any good-sounding speaker that isn't expensive. I plan to make a 1x12 or 2x12 cab soon as an extension for my Laney. And maybe a tube head soon if finances permit. Hope you could help out. Thanks :)

9-inch F-clamps are available at DIY Hardware, Japan Home and Daiso, 66 pesos each. Use small pieces of wood to protect the neck and fingerboard from being marred. I suggest practice clamping without the glue so you can get the hang of it first. You wouldn't want to remove the fingerboard again if something went wrong.

Rubber strips and tubing will work, too. Again, practice first. :-)

Again, thanks for the reply! Will remember all of your tips. Mocking the fret board this morning before doing the final gluing.  :)

Finished mocking up the fret board and neck. Applied stickwell and used cable ties since I had no access to clamps. Books were useful to in applying pressure on the other end. Will let this cure for 24 hours before removing the cable ties. Crossing my fingers.
