Guys! I'm not sure if this thread already exists. But if it does, Mods please delete this.
I have been experiencing numbness and occasional pain in my right hand specifically on the wrist area. Drumming is my life, and I can imagine what I would do if I couldn't play the drums. I sought medical attention and the diagnosis was carpal tunnel syndrome.
I researched and found out that 90% of carpal tunnel cases are miss-diagnosis. Hoping for the best, I tried alternative treatment.
Now, the symptoms have subsided a little, and it feels better, though the occasional numbness still happens.
I was just reminded that we are still human beings even under the high of music. We are very vulnerable to repetitive motion disorders and the sort, I'm relatively a new member but I think every drummer should be educated and well equipped with information about a drummer's health and fitness level sort-to-speak.
One thing we would not want to happen is not be able to play the drums. We could prevent it and we should do measures to prevent it from hapening.

Cardio workouts, stretching exercises, proper warm-up routines and proper technique plays vital roles to prevent such problems later on in our drumming life.
Cheers fellow drummers.
