pero sabi sa google power pop daw sila...

ano yun?

kala ko parang magaala avril lavigne tong mga to sasabihin rockers sila...

i think simple plan is actually a pop-punk band and not power pop para kasi silang sum41, for more info about the genre try http://www.allmusic.com

ayan ang nasabi ng isa kong kakilala(secret!) nung sinabi ko yang sinabi mo...

i think rin mali ang allmusic sa pagkakategorize kasi bawat styles alam nyo ba ay may philisopies din di lang technics.

so if you're punk you can never really be pop so tama siguro na power pop itawag sa kanila...

I think kaya tinawag na "pop punk" pop kasi mas radio friendly ang music at punk coz it still has that style buried somewhere, pag mapakinggan mo ang mga bandang tinatawag na power pop, i think mage-gets mo na di ganon ang tunog ng simple plan, suggest power pop bands are cheap trick, matthew sweet, arlo and mayflies USA

i've heard/seen simple plan and i think they totally suck...the vocalist's voice is sooo annoying.

power pop? ano yun?

punk sila? maybe bcoz of the way they dress up...just like avril lavigne...

yes i've seen the video. it was like they were playing inside somebody's house. they played really loud. jumping, slamming..you know the usual shtick of 'punk" bands. then the house starts to crumble...woods falling, lights flicker..it was total destruction. and the owner? well, he was sleeping on a sofa..wary of things happening around...

it was just like punkboys-destroying-someone-else's-property vid.

simple plan happens to be my favorite band ngayon! super galing sila as in yung songs nila sa album ma-catchy na ang happy. pop-punk rock band sila. i've seen a lot of their candid videos n stuff para silang canadian version ng parokya ni edgar. they have other songs pa out of the album:

one by one
grow up
my christmas list
american jesus (bad religion cover)

btw, simple plan parang good charlotte lang. nice songs, cute image.

Simple plan's music is similar to a lot of bands nowadays like Blink 182, MXPX, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Greenday, Nerf Herder, Bowling for Soup, Size 14, etc...

I think it's a trend since the sound of these bands are very similar. These bands play melodic - happy - trippy punk music which I have to admit is catchy. Blink 182 popularized the trend but do you guys remember the band Size 14 (Claire Dane's Poster)? Don't they sound like Blink 182 years before Blink became a household name.

friends lang silang lahat e as in simple plan, blink182, mxpx, sum41 new found glory, the ataris, the used, dashboard confessional, even avril lavigne and her band. parang barkada ng mga punk rock artists (kung bibilangin si avril).
