I'd rather go network and server/database administrations.
Mabilis ang phasing ng web or system programming, para makasunod sa trending, kailangan mong umattend ng trainings and seminars very often. Maganda naman yun pero sa kagaya kong tamad mag aral at wala ng panahon para sa mga ganyan, I prefer the other way around.

By the way, 8 years na akong system programmer at gusto ko ng magpalit ng trabaho
On vacation...

Uy, Systems Admin here with 5 years of experience! Already handled Servers, Operating Systems, Databases, Infrastructure, and Messaging.

Constantly evolving ang trends at technology sa IT at lalo na sa field ko , hindi pwedeng hindi ka mag aral ng new technologies dahil kung hinde ay maiiwan ka. Pero once you get the hang of it, very rewarding din.

I prefer Web Development with datamining (because its my Job, lol ) dahil sa phase ng technology natin halos lahat nasa "Web" na tulad ng Online Transacions,Storage (cloud/skydrive),Advertisments,E-commerce etc etc...

I find Software/Game Development to stressfull...

Network Administrator... hmmm kailangan mo talaga ng panahon at sakripisyo kapag ito ang trabaho mo kasi "on-call" ka palagi pero napaka worthit naman.
just groove with it and everything will be allright...

at super hassle kapag nakabakasyon ka, tapos halos lahat pa ng magiging galaw mo e dapat walang gumagamit na user, in short after office hours, sabado/linggo o holiday papasok ka padin.
just groove with it and everything will be allright...

net ads are quite good, experience lang talaga ang count. May kakilala ako, ambilis umakyat, 5 years palang sa field, ayun senior na. Kasi kakaunti raw ang applicant ng net/sys ads. Kung mayron man, starting palang.

I'm shooting for web or mobile app development. :)

to be a net ad, you must have a cisco certification?

hmmm IMO a new concept or a "not so common one" will be great for a thesis proposal/development. halimbawa gagawa ka ng thesis katulad ng online file hosting site o application tapos gagamitan mo ng cloud o kaya parang sky drive, okay yun kaso kailangan mo talaga ng panahon at lakas ng loob para dun, hahaha lol  :-D . pero kung gusto mo ng thesis na okay naman i'll suggest kung web based talaga ang gusto mo, yung mga web system na ginagamitan ng technology katulad ng "sales and inventory system using Paypal" and the likes. hindi sya ganun kahirap gawin pero multi system sya at may tech na apllication pa.

to be a net ad, you must have a cisco certification?

Nope. you can be a network ad kahit wala ka pang certification basta marunong ka na ng SPF,VLan,Switching,Routing,VPN at sa Wireless kasi yun naman ang common na ginagawa. pero malaking advantage ang may Certificate at Lisensya professionally at financially  :money:

OT: bro, you can do multiple quotes in one replies para maiwasan yung sunod sunod na reply. mababatas ka ng mga Mods natin pag ganun kasi.
have a great day ^-^

Very informative thread  :)

I'm an IT Specialist guy here working in a finance & leasing industry  :-D

After a year working there, medyo na discomfort na ako kase andun na ung feeling na parang hanggang dito nalang ba alam ko.

So now, i was planning to feel kung saan ako pwede, its either mag cross ulit ako sa photo / web design & development or continue my

career path as a CCNA.
