Router is acting up again

This is probably our 4th router for the past 6 years?

Brand is edimax. Previous once are also branded. Pahirapan palagi ang connectivity sa room ko since nasa 1st floor ang router, my room is at the second floor.

Ganito ba talaga life span ng routers na bukas ng 24/7? What are yours and its how many years old already?
Suggest me a better one. Longer range. If not, suggest a repeater.

Nova Repeater. Kidding. I'm using CD-R King. Nasa first floor din yung router, tapos minsan sa 2nd floor ako gumagamit. Okay naman. Pero hardcore yang sayo ah. 6 years, 24/7? Tindi.

we're using a Linksys router. it's on 24/7 for the past 2 years and so far wala naman problema. same din sa inyo our router is in the 1st floor and I'm in the 2nd floor. wala naman connectivity issues kahit 3 kami naka-share.

Nag Linksys din kami before. Wala naman sira pero pinalitan pa din sa CD-R King. Di ko nga alam kung upgrade yun o downgrade eh. lol

D-Link, di ko natry dito sa bahay pero sa office siya ginagamit.

ok din talaga ang D-Link. we used one before switching to Linksys. it lasted for 4 years naka-on 24/7 before siya nasira.

as for CD-R king, na-trauma na kami diyan. hindi na kami bibili ulit ng router galing sa kanila. my brother bought one before and it only lasted for 4 days. he went back to return and exchange it but the replacement didn't last for a week either. I'm not bashing on CD-R king but I'm only sharing our experience with them.

haha subok ko na kasi sila pang magdamagan. yung range siyempre depende parin kung medyo mataas na model. ok din naman daw mga CD-R sabi ng mga kilala ko. kahit magdamag. hindi lang daw ganun ka dami yung router config sa interface ng CD-R

yeah hit and miss talaga. it was worth it nung bumili nalang ang kuya ko ng Linksys router kasi he got frustrated with 2 defective routers from CD-R king. it was much more expensive pero durable naman.

Salamat sa suggestions. Onga those *link* seem reliable. We did had one I think pero siguro nga hit and miss.

My Linksys router still work 7 years na.  24/7 naka on, now it is only used for back up.  Now using TP Link, the one with 3 antennas for longer range.  I suggest putting a small fan beside it.

tama yung paglagay ng maliit na fan sa tabi ng router (at ng modem na rin)... sa amin Buffalo N 300 na router at last year nag update ako ng firmware nito na DD-WRT (nunb binili kasi iyon wala pa sa listahan DD-WRT firmware yung model). halos 3 years na ito sa amin.

D-Link 2 years na 24/7 depende na alng kung walang kuryente.
