I've read a lot of thread here in GC about that mythical hiyaw, I even read some of your posts and watched some of your vids explaining the HIYAW, I salute you for having such great uber expensive gear.

IMHOU HIYAW is still subjective, hmmmm maybe, just maybe, if I will go to arie's place today and try the guitar you are talking about , it wont change my way of life.

HIYAW is subjective, kasi magkaiba tayo ng tenga.

In the first place, I do not have uber expensive gear.  Others do.  Hiyaw is an experience -- rare at that but desirable -- not read about or watched.  It will change the way you view your gear and guitars as a way of life.

And thats the great thing about HIYAW, people with different ears will agree on a standard.

Hiyaw is Not Euphoria -- but a taste of tonal bliss for all.  Finally, a standard that you can hold all guitar manufacturers against and expose their commercialism.

alex, would you agree with me that hiyaw can be found in both expensive and non-expensive guitars? although in non-expensive guitars, it's harder to find one with hiyaw, it's easier in the more expensive ones, tama? (Yes but the magical expensive ones have more of it. How much more?  Find out on Monday.  Heh heh.)

take for example arie's tele, it's not something that you would call expensive, compared to a custom shop or boutique tele.

i still remember your old tokai strat, it had a little something special about it din diba? hindi din expensive guitar yun.

and shempre, your FM55 baker, yun may hiyaw, and that's expensive, hehe.

i haven't tested your GY les paul. pero i bet that has hiyaw. and i know na that's expensive as well, hehe.

on the other hand, i've tested an american deluxe strat which has no life whatsoever. that's kinda expensive yet walang hiyaw.

and as expected, i've tested a lot of MIJ copies and other cheaper guitars without hiyaw. pero alam na natin yun, hehe.

these are merely examples according to my experience, hehe.

Generally agree... But last night, I watched a series of bands who to my shock used so much modulation and delay na iba iba silang gitarista pero pare pareho ang tunog.  Sama ng gear dahil natalo si fingers...

Right now, wala because of chemo effects on my fingers.  I cannot feel anything on my finger tips dahil parating may feeling ng kuryente.  Its ironic.
