OS Installed on External Hard Drive

Ask ko lang po mga sirs, kung pano maginstall sa external hardrive ng OS. Yung laptop po kasi ay HP Compaq 6530p. For some reason, ang tagal nya maginstall ng OS (it took several hours and still was not able to finish). What I did was, bumili ako ng SATA enclosure, tpos naformat ko ung harddrive. Now, balak ko install ung OS sa external harddrive then saka ko ibalik sa HP. Is that possible? How? Thanks

Ang bagal niyan if you're gonna run everything from your portable hdd.

usually mabagal ang os installation if installed using a thumbdrive, use the optical drive instead. make sure to set your sata hdd to ahci mode in the bios. wag ka na mag xp, i think your laptop was built for windows 7 at mahirap na rin pala maghanap ng xp drivers para sa newer machines.
