that is set up by somebody connected/friend to the scammer that also has an olx account, or the scammer himself has multiple olx accounts. it's easy to make fake positive feedbacks.

if the address posted is not fake...then that scammer is just a walking distance from my house.

I have taken several risks and brought different guitars from sellers with ''no reputation'' whatsoever.....so far wala pa namang pumapalya...here's my teknik 

1. I always ask 2 valid ID's with their  Meralco or Water system billing on top of it (address is very important)
2. I always make sure that they have a bank account.
3. If you are buying a guitar, make sure na pakunan mo ng ibang angle at close-ups according to your requests, para sigurado kang hindi niya kinuha yung mga pics sa ebay and whatnot.
4. Pretend that you have a relative from NBI or a Police Office from this and that, at pretend ka rin na taga Maynila ka or wherever the heck is the seller is from (if you are buying from the province)


I almost got duped by a buyer who was selling an IBANEZ RG...everything was set, ihuhulog ko na lang yung pera  sa banko..but when I asked for additional pics like close-up of the fretwires and tremolo, he declined....sabi naka pack na daw at ready na for shipping....But I had a feeling that he was selling a fake anyways, OR the guitar that was posted in his page wasn't his.....

It's almost a tell-tale sign na honest yung seller kung sinusunod niya yung mga requests mo, pero pag may alibis and hesitation, red flag na yun huwag mo na ituloy

i'm from cebu. i already tried to contact this scammer. just to try and trap him. he will reply at 1st. then after i tell him that i will just meet up with him coz i'm from cebu also...hindi na mag reply. so, obviously, a scam. if you are on this trade...of course you will make fake names and address. i noticed that this ring of scammers are constantly changing their names and address and even contact numbers.

^Naexperience na ng barkada ko yan. Pero hindi sa gitara, sa phone naman. Same modus. Shipping dapat kaso sakto umuwi yung barkada ko sa province namin (same town and province ng supposed to be seller). So sabi niya "andito na pala ako same town sayo, meetup na lang tayo", hindi na rin nagreply.

OT: May scammer din ba na buyer? Fake money, stealing items while meetup (may kasamang "goons"), etc? Kaya pag malabong kausap hindi ko na nirereplyan kahit pa sabihin niyang papunta na siya (pero wala naman kami napagusapan at di ako nagrereply). haha

It all boils down to judgement on the part of the buyer pagdating sa mga risky deals involving shipping....mararamdaman mo naman thru text message, sa aking experience  kung medyo tama yung mga grammar niya sa Ingles tsaka smarte at medyo matipid yung sagot at hindi ka inaalok na parang door to door salesman, chances are, mapagkakatiwalaan 'yun...   but that's just me hehe .... sa haggling mo makikita kung honest talaga yung seller....ayaw magpa-tawad sa presyo or konti lang yung binabawas sa advertised price, ibig sabihin desidido siyang ibenta yung item na hindi siya lugi

Pag taga province ka kasi, mapipilitan ka idaan talaga sa courier, kasi wala namang choices gaano sa area mo..sa Metro Manila talaga nagkumpulan yung mga serious sellers offering great bargain at mga manloloko  ..so you thrive thru risky deals.

Pero hanggang merong seller na may reputation, doon ka mag stick as much as possible kahit medyo mahal kase nakikipag-patintero ka kay kamatayan pag ang ka-deal mo yung tipong ''one-off'' seller lang
