Here's my baby! This thing is older than me!
a 1983 Fender JV MIJ strat
The Bridge isn't original anymore, but MIJ none the less. Pickups are stock, and the aged look of the pup covers are really aged, not artificial
The neck has a LOT of dings and scratches, but that makes it one of a kind.
There is no indication whatsover that this is a JV strat because the part where the "Made in Japan" decal is supposed to be was scratched off, I gather from JV experts that this was common practice in the 80's. Pag sinabi kasing MIJ, panget daw tingin ng tao dun kasi panget daw quality
The JV serial number w/c is supposed to be on the neckplate isn't there meaning the neckplate is'nt original also.
So how do I conclude this is an authentic JV fender? The penciled in neck date on the heel gave it away, so did the body routing and electronics.
