Genre mo - Porma mo -
« on: August 02, 2013, 05:00:48 AM »
Do a musician really need to dress up na pasok sa GEnre nila?  what i mean is,

kung metal ung tugtugan dapat ba, naka black shirt and everything,

kung punk , dapat ba pareho ng dresscode  ng Greenday or other punk band?

Honestly, What are your thoughts on this?

i'm heavily influenced by 70's / 80's rock / metal bands hence my preference for tight hugging or flared pants which is what i wear mostly pag gig.

i  believe yung clothing part ng package e, lends an air of legit-ness to you and you performance

Honestly, What are your thoughts on this?

I think same thing sa mga punk, Meron kasing statement na gustong iparating, UNITY AND DIVISION
same with hip hop, goth etc.. pati nga JEJEMON e malalaman mong ganun sila dahit sa suot.

hindi sya standard, don't get me wrong
try mo kayang kalabitin baka tumunog...

End of the day.

Simple :)

nakanood ka na ba ng philharmonic orchestra? imagine them wearing house clothes, very comfy yun diba?

siguro naman naka attend kana ng metal gigs or concert, imagine the attendees were like

will you go to a PUNK CONCERT wearing metallica shirt?

tama.  for me there's always a right shirt for a specific genre. medyo off talaga kung ganyan susuotin mo sa isang underground scene na puro indie, punk, metal, experimental. etc..

or not necessarily metal shirt, basta merong magandang print then black or dark gray

hmmmm. not necessarily...but it helps..to look and dress the part...if you feel good looking the part go for it...thats the fun part eh..

parang mods..punta ka sa gig na naka parka, and vespa..with a nice suit..oh yeah! I guess the fun factor is the main thing to consider..

I like this, pero nagtone don nadin ng konti..simple lang..light, presko...nasa puso nalang yung gene attitude..haha

Para sakin kailangan,  simple lang yan e  you live what you preach

Hahaha ayos yung thread

IMO, it has two forms: Conformity and those who set the trend. Music is a form of entertainment, so of course you have to present yourselves either in conformity or whatever rocks your boat. Both are acceptable, but the ones who get most of the attention are the ones who are packaged close to their genre.
