Are there fake yamaha acoustic guitars?

Kaya ko natanong kasi gusto ko sana bumili ng yamaha acoustic, kaso yung mga nakikita kong local na brand new (mostly sa sulit) parang ang mura? parang ang fake tuloy ng dating saken haha.

Mga tinitignan ko specifically ay yung yamaha fgx720sca na model, walang serial numbers na included sa lahat ng nakita ko, maybe because entry model ito ng yamaha na solid top?

anong opinion niyo dito?

yup. meron..post those ads sa isang trhead dito para maverify ng mga forumers..an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure..

actually tingen ko lahat ng locally sold fgx720sca fake, pero di ko kasi alam mag spot ng orig. I already emailed yamaha customer support for pointers on how to, pero wala paring reply.

yung iba niyang binebenta na electric guitars parang fake din yung dating e. thing is dahel entry level guitars yung binebenta niya di mo rin ma eexpect na peke pala kasi parang wala ng kikitain yung mag pepeke haha.

Mas maganda kung sa authorized distributor ka na mismo bumili para sigurado, abang abang ka nalang sa mga promos nila para makatipid ng konte. Well, its just me.

same here, unless expert ka kumilatis ok lang..nakakatakot na yung scene sa Sulit eh..pero in person..makikita mo yung detalye eh..kung kadudaduda....kung di naman nagkakalayo ng price..magkano ba price difference ng sulit or FB from PP or yamaha/Yupanco?

for me, id rather find a nice 2nd hand japanese, or korean built acoustic from PM classifieds a little age is nice..para talagang nag age na yung tonewoods....not very fond of chinese and indonesian stuff coming out lately...

makes sense. just tried checking the price difference for a fgx720sca sa yupangco site, pero sadly wala. hirap kasi humanap ng solid top na between 7k - 10k (lol tight budget talaga).

what are other good brands for an acoustic? I heard about cort tapos lag, pero hanggang dun nalang kaya ko, ayoko na mag fernando ulet haha.

hahaha i have this really really beat up old craftsman from the 90's...its got a broken neck I just screwed in to keep it from falling off..and a chopped portion of the headstock as I was drilling a hole para pwede ko ihook sa wall..nagkamali yung pagdrill ko kaya nabiyak at a portion of wood fell off...its been through a lot, wrote a lot of songs waay back with it...still plays nice.. I hoped i got a nicer guitar though..para by now parang mas may worth yung vintage,roadworn vibe niya..at mas nakakgaanang alagaan pa kahit beater guitar..

kaya tama yan..level up..you deserve nicer instruments..and it will pay off in the long run..abang ka lang dito, daming mga ovations, and takamines, godins, na binebenta..hey..may SEAGULL pa nga na naka thermal gigbag..saw it somewhere here..damn..thats nice..and I think its within your budget...

not much of an acoustic freak..pero at the back of my head..sinasabi sakin "you go to get a nice acoustic"..hahaha I have one here..it was a gift to me..its a chinese brand that they import to korea..its nice and well built and a little higher level...but never bonded with it..never really liked how she sounds..Ive tried cheaper brandless ones which in one strum I easily loved the sound..that "ring".....

regalo lang naman kaya ok lang..keeping it around para may acoustic na madadampot whenever I feel like playing..I tried selling it off..pero kept on retracting kasi.."sayang naman" and it was a memorable gift..haha

@robertshanepascual: thanks sa heads up sa phoebus, nag pm na ako kay freemansj pero laminated top pala yung nasa range ko na pg30ce, pero if all else fails baka kuhain ko na yan haha. kasi naman why do the fgx720sca models na nasa sulit have to be fake!!? haha

haha, iba parin yung guitars na kahet beat up, cheap, or di na pasok sa tonal tastes mo tinatago mo parin. yung sentimental value parin talaga yung mag papa hold on sayo sa gitara na yun e. I share your sentiments, meron din akong guitar na sobrang beat up, doesn't even sound nice and all, pero pina restore ko pa kay micsis, just cause it was my first guitar and I have very fond memories with it.

pero, yeah I seriously want a new acoustic na gaya ng sabi mo isang strum palang gusto na, para magka keeper na ako na makakabond ko agad at di ko na pag iisipang ibenta.

hirap kasi ako hanapin yung ganyang feel sa fernando e haha. had a couple to pass through my grimy hands pero wala di ko talaga ma tripan parati akong may gripe against the guitar.
