Hardwood Body Guitar??

Hi Good day Everyone i have this guitar washburn mg300 mercury series made of "Hardwood Body" and just curious what type of wood is a "HARDWOOD" although i really love it's sound and the sustain is quite good. i have no trouble in playing any kind of genre  just want to know how is it define as an instrument. . any idea? thanks  in advance! :wave:

hard wood is a category, example is mahogany

soft wood example is pine

what additional info do you need?

hard wood = matigas na kahoy

soft wood = malambot na kahoy

there is nothing more to it


if the specs simply state hard wood, then it is a cheap hard wood that they don't want to name

Funny thing is even Ernie Ball uses that unnamed wood scheme in their expensive basses.  Martin, too, in their budget lines.

I have my RG project..exotic hardwoods,mejo mabigat pro sustain and crunch is so superb..hehe
