yep one part is about the cebu guitar builders. as well as lumanog. but thats just in passing. i plan to highlight the ones who has great builds. id like to somehow promote them to australia throughthese means. my trainer is from australia and if he can recommend at least one luthier to build a guitar for his friends there then i would say ive done my part.
marami dito nag buibuild ng guitars as a hobby. may schooling pa nga. bot makers and customers are concerned with traditional tone woods. a lot dont even call themselves luthiers even if they have been building guitars for 20 years. Hence, the title of Luthier is a heavy title.
Aussies have a different guitar mentality din. different from north americans. a lot don't even know what a Yamano is, or a Yaron or even a Callaham bridge. yung mga nakakaintindi ng mga ganun
are usually found in vintage and boutique stores. pero gulat ako, yung iba hindi man lang kilala si Yaron, Bartlett, etc. pero they're dealing with boutiques, semi-vintage and vintage guitars.
from my personal view and experience, a good number think and behave like we did in the 90s. and us pinoys will always be american deep inside. part na ng culture natin.
