pansin ko lang, phonic and alesis both uses cubase LE, me iba pa bang software na compatible para dito?

tnx
In particular, I'm using Adobe Audition 2.0 and works well. I haven't tried other DAW except Cubase LE but I know it will work as well.

if you have the budget naman... try visiting TMS they have Mackie Onyx Series Mixers and Firewire IO Card for the Mixer.

Personally I think their (TMS) price is reasonable enough coz if you'll buy from abroad and add up tax and shipping their price will almost be the same.

Aside from Alesis and Mackie, Phonic also has a firewire mixer but I haven't seen any locally. Then there's M-Audio's NRV-10... dunno if JB has it in country already. Just go to musiciansfriend.com to see the myriads of firewire offerings, then try to find someone who has the item or delivers here.

Hard to say since I haven't seen an example locally. Reviews on Phonic FW mixers are just as scarce.

it's more of a bandwidth issue than anythin else.  so the answer should be yes, puede.  basta kuntento ka na sa stereo.

The Music Source (TMS - see Suppliers sticky) carries Mackie, and that means they carry the Onyx series of FW mixers. I've also seen some Alesis products at TMS so it's possible they have the Alesis FW mixers. Alesis is also distributed by Avesco; 5th Ave is their retail outlet in most commercial centers (Quad and SM North carpark are known branches). JB should be carrying the M-Audio NRV-10 by now, if not, try asking their branch managers for availability.

if you're gonna record track by track and like what you've said that you use midi for your drum tracks. Yes you can survive with USB mixer. like behringers xenyx or the alesis multimix usb

If you asking the Phonic Helixboard FW, you can read the earlier post in this topic I think in page 2. You can listen the sample guitar solo here using HB12FW

http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/96626_msh1.mp3

and read this topic:

http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,38263.0.html

...see if this will help to answer your question... I don't have experience for the other products of Phonic except mixers.

You seem to be the only known user of the Phonic FW mixer here in Philmusic, TheHunter. How about a mini review? Been wanting to read user reviews about that product.

@Kit, I wish I could... I haven't visited Philmusic for a while...I'm so tied up with my work and less time on my hobby (recording)... but I have the previlege to record a high school choir in 2 weeks time so I have to do a little bit of browsing the net.

As I said I'm happy and proud of using Phonic HB FW. I recommended to my friend and he likes it as well.

Yeah, but they're only plain mixers, no firewire. Phonic used to have a distro at Virra Mall before the reconstruction but they never went back there.

@Hunter - I'm glad you're posting again. Tell us how it goes with your HS recording project. I wanna hear how the Phonic holds out. The last time I did a HS project (a sort of play at Claret way back in '99), it was the mixing stage that gave me the most headaches, but I had fun with sound effects and some light scoring (just pads and a little mood music).
