I'm going to Singapore this weekend. I'm planning to check out some guitarshops. Where in Singapore can you get good guitars? Specifically fender stratocasters.. Thanks for the help.

Try Swee Lee - nakalimutan ko lang ang exact location but it is not very far from Bugis.

At Plaza Singapura, there is a YAMAHA shop at the 5th floor ata. They offer some good strat copies like Pacifica but they carry G&L which are good fender copies (Leo Fender designed most of them himself).

Swee Lee at Bras Basah Complex. Tamang tama, may sale sila ng Fenders ngayon.

Then, about 2 blocks away, you'll find Excelsior hotel, right beside FunanIT Mall. Sa basement non, may 4 or 5 na guitar shops. Madami ding fenders.

Naku thanks for the info Jonathan. Nakalimutan ko na yung Bras Basah eh. Sa excelsior guitar shops, very limited ang mga instruments and the brands are not that good. Pero pag spare parts tsaka accessories, panalong panalo ka!

I went to Swee Lee Bras Basah. And when I got inside, I broke down to tears as I witness my dream guitars. Ok, so you're thinking I'm over-acting. Pero ang gaganda ng mga gitara dito and mura pa. Yung JS 1000 na puti mga 1300 dollars lang tapos may discount pa! Meron din mga Fender na relic, Gibson LP. Sayang wala pa akong pera pang-GAS. Puntahan ko siguro mamya yung stores na malapit sa FunanIT Mall, para mag-window shopping.

If you want to window shop some more while in Singapore:

1. Peace Center and the adjacent bldg (forgot the name). City Music has a big store in peace center. Then may maliliit na music stores dun sa katabing bldg.

2. Yamaha at Plaza Singapura. Not as big as Swee Lee, pero maglalaway ka na rin.

3. Visit the classifieds section of http://www.soft.com.sg/web/modules.php?name=Forums

For the price and selection. Nothing will beat Davis Guitar Center.
Lower ground floor of the peninsula shopping complex. 3 coleman street.

Take the MRT to city hall station. its the shopping complex under the peninsula exelsior hotel.

Lots of other guitar places there too. around six shops.

But davis carriers EMGS, SD and even stuff like AMT Effects and ESP and Schecter Guitars.
(Plus one attendant there is STUPID HOT)

Check out these places..

1. Bras basah complex.. andun ang Swee Lee, Guitar Workshop, at may katapat pang store sa swee lee na dealer ng Godin, Seagull at iba pang canadian guitars.

2. Peninsula plaza.. andun ang Davis music store na dealer ng PRS (dun ka iiyak) at Moore, andun din ang Guitar 77, Guitar connection (2nd hand shop to), Luther music at iba pa, just walk around magkakatabi lang sila

3. Paradiz... andito naman sa basement ang Synamex na dealer ng Taylor at M audio, sa 2nd floor ang Guitar Gallery (im sure dito mauubos na ang luha mo) andito ang high end Gibsons, Fender, Sta Cruz, Taylor etc . this time laway naman ang tutulo. marami pang shops dito, sa 3rd floor may shop na ang specialty ay music books at instructional videos and concerts.. whew..kung pwede lang bilihin lahat

4. Peace Center - katabi lang to ng paradiz, sa 2nd floor ang City Music dealer ng line 6 at Martin, Ovation, Dean,

5. Plaza singapura .. yahama lang andito

take mrt. baba sa city hall.. then walk..ipagtanong mo na lang.. katabi sya ng funan centre.. lahat ng guitar stores sa peninsula nasa basement at di mo makikita sa labas.

They are selling it for SGD225. Very mint pa..

You can go to Ebenex for a ton of effects. Bought my most prized pedal there.

Also head to Davis as Gjuanengo said. They sell matched Seymour Duncan pickups, EMGs, ESPs. You could also find two other stores next to Davis, Guitar77 and Guitar Connection. G77 sells Schecters, High-end PRSs, and custom guitars. Guitar Connection sells vintage/lawsuit guitars. I saw a Burny V, Ibanez SG w/ Bigsby there.

Then there's Sweelee...which has two branches. They have Epiphone, Fender, Squier, Ibanez and tons of other brands there.

hahaha. thats a good one but i dont think so kasi from what i know tom lee started in Canada but THOMAS LEE was originally from HK, and then after the war between china and the brits he went back to HK to promote music. god damn it im having too much chinese exposure. wheeheh

pare JS100 lang yung nakita mo dahil dapat yun din bibilhin ko.. nakita mo ba yung enclosed area don? nandon yung mga high-end yung mga prestige and signature models ng ibanez, gibson lps and some fenders. mejo mataas lang yung presyo nila compared don sa excelsior.

regarding peace center and paradiz, ayus yun ah! makapunta nga bukas
