Hi all, I thought this would be a great place to ask this question. I have this MXR script phase 45 that started acting up. Same sound lang whether on or off. Minsan ok, most of the time walang phase effect at all.

So, i decided to open it up to look at the wires and components. Everything "looks" ok naman. I then decided to give the internal trim pot a light tap with my finger (since its the only moving part sa loob). Yun, the biglang lumabas yung phase effect. Tapped it again, problem back.

I emailed MXR about this faulty trimpot but I was told not to touch the trimpot as it was "factory set and can only be set using an Oscilloscope and a Signal Generator". They then directed me to Jb Music and some other local authorized service center.

pwedeng i-set by ear yan. kuha ka ng manipis na sharpie. markahan mo yung top disc para alam mo kung saan sya dati naka-set. tsaka mo i-adjust in very small increments. use a screwdriver, preferably one that has a rubber grip. be careful lang din na wag lalapat yung screwdriver sa anumang metal part ng box. tune by ear.

I read somewhere na the trim pot sets the bias of the FETS and only a small area sa buong sweep nung trimpot ang usable. Set it anywhere else and mawawala yung phase effect. This is probably what im experiencing now, right?

I guess it wont hurt to give a try. Medyo over protective lang siguro ang MXR sa trimpot nila. LOL

mahirap iadjust yan by ear.gawin mo tanggalin mo yung trimpot. wag mo pipihitin.measure mo yung resistance ng 3 paa. bili ka ng bagong trimpot w/ same specs.kopyahin mo lng resistance. kapag palpak e di pwede mo pa ibalik yung orig na trimpot

usable bro, I have tried a u2 song out of it, delay 1 has longer delay time but lesser repeats, then delay 2 will do the opposite but delay time was set to get an eighth note out of delay 1.
