One World Beat Global Music Festival hits QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES.
Butta-Flava Entertainment and Local Hip-Hop/R&B Artists Join to Participate in 2nd Annual Benefit Concert to Support Children Living with HIV/AIDS

Quezon City, Philippines – March 16, 2004 - The 2004 One World Beat Global Music Festival, which began in Switzerland as an all-volunteer effort of socially conscious musicians, NGOs and volunteers uniting to stage concerts for charities, now in its second year, expands to 150 events in more than 40 countries worldwide.
 
The three-day global music festival is a series of concerts taking place simultaneously in various cities, including New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Manila from March 19-21, 2004, providing a platform for musicians to convey a message of hope through their music; Music Making a Difference!

”One Hip-Hop to Keep A Child Alive:  A Hip-Hop/R&B Concert” will be happening at Culture Club in Libis, Quezon City on Sunday, March 21, 2004 at 8:00p.m.  Performers include the best of mainstream, underground and independent Hip-Hop and R&B artists, such as Gazelle & Jug Honeyluv of Butta-Flava, 7 Shots of Wisdom, Syke, Hi-JakKk and Novakkkaine, DeMarco a.k.a Pilate, JayFlava, Krazykyle & Rapskallion Familia, Awethentic and R-Lyn of Illdef, Ill-J of SVC, Pikaso, Fully Loaded, Urban Flow, Turbulence Productions, Audible, Ginn, Miscellaneous, Earshot, Denmark, Chinese Mafia, BB Clan, 898, PhD, and Caliph8.  "We are so excited and honored to be contacted and be offered to take part in the growing movement of unity to help others in need, and on such a grand scale," says Jug Honeyluv, Artist/CEO of Butta-Flava Entertainment. "When passionate people who love music and hip-hop unite for social change, we can accomplish anything!"

The second annual event will benefit Keep a Child Alive, a new initiative, supported by Alicia Keys, set up to provide life-saving medicine to children living with HIV/AIDS in the developing world who will die without it.

In addition to attending a local event, people all over the world will be able to participate in this all-genre event by logging on to http://www.oneworldbeat.org to listen to the web casts of artist performances and live interviews from around the globe. People will also be able to download music from the broadcast, bid on auction items, or make a donation to help support the fight against this disease.

The festival will feature more than 150 events in more than 40 countries such as Australia, Burundi, Canada, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Germany, Kenya, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland and the United States. Phil Collins, The Cardigans, Sheena Easton and Bonnie Tyler are official One World Beat Supporters. The One World Beat website has close to 3,000 visitors every day.

Supported by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the 2003 One World Beat Festival led to its first-ever global volunteer effort, reaching a worldwide audience helping to raise money for many charities.
