sir bluebossa, in all his recordings that i've heard, jim hall always sounded warm. which jim hall album did you have in mind?

william, to nail the early benson tone, i suggest you roll down he treble and boost the mids instead. not too much treble unless you want your guitar to sound like a tin can.

this clip is from  michel petrcciani's power of three dvd. wayne shorter also played in some of the tracks. jim is playing a guitar made specially for him by jimmy d'aquisto. but now jim hall uses sadowsky's jim hall signature guitar as his main ax.

but sir bluebossa, warm nga actually tone ni jim hall sa video.

hey william, ganda ng lines ni joe pass so even though he sounded bright in the video, very musical pa rin tunog niya.  :-)

Joe Pass always plays great but that guitar sounds just HORRIBLE, it's not bright... there's a difference... it just sounds really bad hahahahah :-D (at least in my ear)

My most favorite Pat Metheny tone on his archtop:

I always like how he uses reverb and delay too!

eto d'aquisto din ang gamit ni joe pass dito, one of his best sound and playing too of course.

I have an Aria Pro jazzbox. Kahit clean tone setting, everytime i hit the bass notes up to the 7-8th fret.  :| Tried tweaking the eq, lowering the mids, pero ganun pa din. Any thoughts?   :-)
