i think we should each be responsible with the words we dish out especially if it pertains to other people's religion, ethnicity, affiliations, etc. it's simple matter of respect and ethic. i do not mean that you keep your opinions to yourself. being a fellow Isko, i would like to believe that you are of same brilliant mind and therefore contain brilliant ideas. the forming of a new music org is indeed brilliant. it may yet fill the need that the UP Underground and UP Music Cicle have not addressed. but stepping on the very idea that others espouse and live by hardly constiutes a fair and sound mind. it reeks of bitterness and conceit.
sir, you have maligned the UP Underground in another thread (mga bandang ayaw nyo). you lay claim the fact that what they wear and what they believe in makes them unworthy of your fair judgement and thus label them as poseurs. you mentioning all the bands of the UP Underground as not to your liking is a very valid opinion, no matter how shaky the reasons. it is noted and respected.
being a fellow music lover and musician, i condone the use of poseur/poser/posero as an adjective used to describe a fellow musician or a group of musicians. it not only insulting and degrading but also problematic. anyone can be called a poseur by anybody. there are no clear guidelines to it. you may well be a poseur to someone else.
and i really don't think that spending a litlle time with the group (UP Underground; you were an applicant right?) gives you a complete enough idea to boldly judge its legitimacy. though your words, sir, make me want to doubt your capacity as fitting leader and founder of this UP Rakenrol. but then again i do not want to doubt, for only you know that group's would-be ideals. your strong and unwavering opinion on others (bordering on prejudice and elitism) and your fierce determination to rally a group based on your ideals....hmmm....and i thought UP Underground was the only group governed by a dictator. silly me.
but i, sir, am a firm believer of vengeance. and if your apparent barrage of opinions or anger upon the two respected music orgs take root from a past slight, like a failed application or seeming unnaceptance then by all means fire away.
my thoughts on the matter end here.
