ano masasabi niyo pag kumpara natin ung drummer ng calially and drummer ng sponge cola??? kasi parang parehas sila ng genre.

tapos yung sa typecast naman at yung drummer ng hilera?

If this is a "who's better?" comparison thread, I can close this thread. Music is not meant to be a competition or being who's better than the other and all that bs...

I agree with this, kasi drums has a wide range of style, it's up to you to make your own actually, and i believe even us guys whether we took up lessons or not, has a "thumb mark", meaning own style, on the kit. Kunwari, 2 guys who took up lessons with mang jun, same genre, pero lalabas at lalabas pa rin ang individuality nila sa kit. Kasi diskarte pa rin natin kung pano pakakantahin, yes, pakakantahin ang drums.

Parang mas intense magperform yung drummer ng Callalily. Relak lang yung sa Spongecola eh.

I also find the Callalily's drumlines to be more direct and powerful, but Spongecola's drumlines to be more calculated na may bursts of good phrases in good taste (the few times that I saw them).

hindi naman tinatanong dito kung sino mas magaling... pinag kukumpara lang naman natin yung style at skills nila. wala naman sinabi dito kung sino ang mas magaling sa isat isa.

yep depende sa genre na ginagalawan nila. para sakin ah ang skills ng drummer ng "sacramento" ay 5 out of 5 stars. hehe bilang isang drummer nung napanood ko sila ako nangawit sa ginagawa nya hehe.

I've seen Callalily perform once. We played back to back with them on a school fair a few months ago. Yeah the drummer can play. Kaya lang hindi ganon ka-tight yung banda. The bass and drum parts are not that locked in. Well, that was way back. Hopefully, it has improved already. And by the way, what's with the big cowboy hat?

I haven't seen Spongecola live yet. But I have the impression that their drummer is a less-is-more, "play for the music" kind of drummer.

Drummer of Sandwich and Pedicab? Haha.. That's just one guy. I met Mike Dizon recently. Nice guy. He plays great rock drums. And he loves old-school drum gear.

Just my humble opinion & constructive points of view.

Nope sa recto, kaso pangit ng mixing eh, di masyadong dinig yung mga chops nya.. Naalala ko nung nag live sila sa skul namin dati "Central Colleges of the Phils" di pa released yung album nila nun, dun ko unang napansin yung drummer eh.. Ayos mga chops nya..

naweiduhan lang ako sa conventional grip ng callalily.. he is a righty drummer
pero his trad grip is with his right hand... and hard hitting it with his ride..
i find it weird... pero kanya kanyang trip lang yan... hehe.. tsaka ung bagsakan nila na tumatalon sa upuan ung drummer.. minsan nahuhuli siya sa bagsak with the group... good showmanship though.. pero nakita ko si pao ng join the club na mas nauna dun..... hehe... at dun sa gitarista din nilang lefty... c alden.. he is my friend.. drummer din un.. may band xia dati kaso wala na ata.. siya ung drummer nun.. tsaka mabait un... sinamahan niya akong bumili ng double pedal lst time..
