Converting a 13" tom into a kick drum - help me with this!

pano ko gawin yung 13" ko na rack tom to a bass drum, pag practisian ko lang sana ng pedal, may nakita kasi ako before na ganyan dito sa forum e

ano buh yang tom mo? pearl? kasi kung pearl yan, it uses tom arm na pabilog.. mas madali kung ganyan

kung pearl yan, you will need:

1) snare stand (yung stand lang mismo, hindi na kasama yung pinahihimlayan ng snare)
2) tom arm

ayun...

kabit mo yung tom arm sa snare stand tas kabit mo yung tom mo sa tom arm
angle the tom towards you like a bass drum.  dapat siguro naka carpet ka kasi
walang pag ca-clamp-an yang pedal mo.. ang much better kung mei plate yung
peds mo.. ayun.. my two cents

yung tom arm dinugtong niya sa snare stand tapos sinandal niya sa pader 

yung pedal may velcro sa ilalim kaya dinikita na lang niya sa carpet

there are a couple of ways of going about this. one is making up a cradle to hold up your drums so the tom center coincides with the standard beater length. this way there is no need to adjust beater length everytime you use the standard kick drum. Advantage is that you do not have to modify your tom. the second is by installing a pair of cheap retractable spurs for the front, a floor tom bracket for the back. and fabricating a pedal adapter using bent knurled rod for the back. you can adjust your height to standard this way. cost will be about 600 for this adaptation.

sorry, forgot that if you have a standard 7/8" tom arm, you can make an adapter for the back using tubing and the pedal adapter, normally apiece of metal 5/16" x 2" x 4" slightly curved to follow the curvature of the std. 22" hoop. join this to the upright tubing with an appropriate length of 3/16" x1 1/2" plate.

try to use a "Jungle Gig" from Pearl....then dapat naka ISS yung tom. Not sure nga lang kung yung beater will be at the center of the batter....just my 2 cents...HTH...

What the... Inosente ako! Wala akong kasalanan!!!

Hindi ako yung gumawa nun, pero naalala ko yung ginawa doon. 

Boom arm na naka-clamp sa isang stand yun, nakatungo para mababa yung 13" tom, tapos naka-velcro sa sahig yung pedal para hindi magalaw.

shortest possible way na wala ka na gagawin e kumuha ka ng snare stand. angle the snare basket at 90 degrees tapos mount mo yung tom. ayun instant bass drum na hehehe

Im puzzled by the pedal..
Its raised/floating. That might be whats needed
