went to jim's place and just tried this out last friday night with him and mike...

guitar > proco rat2 > dzound > amp

great boost! very nice combo...

feeling ko, the next combination na gagamitin ko is ds-1 na brit modded by sir mark at ts-7 na converted to ts-808. hahaha. i can hear it now,

can't wait to get my hand on a ds-1.

try bm, or any transparent na od, medyo mushy na ang ds2 pag lumagpas ng 12oclock ang gain

i personally use, and is in my pedal route, ang DOD YJM308. great for ma-treble na sound.. i usually boost it with a BOSS BD-2. but kung distortion, PROCO RAT2 gamit ko. with the 'distortion' knob at 4 o'clock, nice, warm distortion sound! at 9 o'clock, cool, overdrive sound. i use this with my single-coiled guitars..

if i have to keep two? the Proco RAT and the DOD YJM308. works well too with my semi-hollow..

i always love my route66 plus a ts808 clone by sir lipton.
kaya lang i'm trading na my route66 to a barber direct drive.

The neat thing about the TS808->FD2, is that you have actually 3 cascading gain stages.
i.e. FD2 drive = crunch, FD2 drive on boost = overdrive, TS-808 + FD2 on boost = distortion.

Has anyone here tried the FD-2 + OCD combo? I'd like to know which order you prefer, FD2 -> OCD or the other way around.. I like the FD2 -> OCD but I find that the FD-2 options and boost has little effect when the OCD is engaged. If its the other way around, I get a huge boost from the FD2 but I find it a little bit too gritty.

Since I use a line 6 dm4 and vox duel overdrive, its either the ts-808 settings + vox duel od for boost or the Line 6 Drive (the gain cranked a bit) + Vox duel od.

Personally, I'm happy with that.
