I have a Marshall MG30DFX, I used to boost it with Joyo Vintage overdrive. It gets fizzy to me when boosted with a distortion pedal like shredhead and sa sobrang gain, nagiging marumi na yung playing ko.. YMMV.

maganda rin ang okko diablo + rc booster.

not really the best but works for my limited budget:

Joyo Vintage Overdrive + EHX Metal Muff

using the OD in front of the Metal Muff allows for less distortion level on the Metal Muff. the individual notes can be allowed to ring out (as opposed to higher levels where everything comes out as mush

). the OD setting is the usual high level, low drive (gain), and the sound is really tighter. I find this metal tone better than the stock modern gain of the Blackstar HT-5R. your mileage may vary though

a compressor just after the guitar also adds to the tight sound. the effect is very subtle, but it's there

A friend of mine din uses metal muff + bad monkey in his rig. Mas mataas yung gain ng bad monkey kesa sa MM.

TOD is placed before Metal Muff? Wala talaga masyadong magiging difference kasi mataas na yung gain setting ng Metal Muff. Ubos na yung headroom na ipupush nung TOD.

Pag naman TOD after Metal Muff, magiging parang volme booster ang purpose niya.

Tama si sir Chino, mataas yung gain ng Metal Muff mo

Naka VOD and Metal Muff din ako(VOD before Muff), yung VOD ko is 9oclock gain, 3oclock tone, full volume. Tapos yung muff ko naman 9 to 10oclock gain lang. Halata yung difference yung difference pag naka engage yung VOD, mas tight siya and kahit 9oclock lang gain nung Metal Muff basta may VOD high gain parin naman.

have anyone tried any of this set-up?

1.) Boss OD-3 + Boss MD-2
2.) Boss OD-3 + Boss-ML-2
3.) Or any overdrive pedal + MD-2 or ML-2

Im looking for a booster pedal that will give me more mid-range ( ung magiging bilog ung tunog kapag nagsshred ka..Sorry kung mejo mahirap maintindihan yung pinagsasabi ko

)

Or do you suggest na GE-7 na lang gawin kong booster?

I love the sound of...

1. Zoom PD-01 or FD2 mosfet + Marshall Drivemaster...
2. FD2 Mosfet + Zoom PD-01
3. FD2 Mosfet + Crunchbox

OT: Also I always love the tone of cascading Tube screamer pedals.

So curious ako dito and i'd like to get one... GFS Twin Overdrive.
