1st setup why's:
Washburn n4 - i really like the sound it produces. it's lightweight, and it's sexy. meron pang extended cutaway.

Strobostomp - ano makakatalo sa strobe tuner? hehe

Mesa VTWIN/Demonizer/Valveboy - i want a dual channel preamp/pedal. kung ok lang sana sabihin na amp channel switcher sa part na yun, hindi ko na kailangan nitong pedals na to. pero dahil stompboxes ang kailangan.. yan sila.

Line 6 DL4 - 4 channels of delay. san ka pa? ok na to. maraming modes.

Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier/Peavey 5150 - powerful, mabigat, masarap, mataba. in your face tone. hehe. (preference ko lang yan a, no need to comment on this)

2nd setup why's:

Washburn n2 - parang n4 na rin. konting upgrade na lang kahit papaano.

Boss tu2 - pedal tuner na madali gamitin and durable

Sansamp GT2 - tube tones on the fly. pwede isaksak na lang sa return ng amp. ok na.

Kalikot Audio LSS - masaya gamitin. i'm a sucker for DIY's.

Peavey Classic 30/Valveking - affordable and superb tone wise (preference ko naman eh)

cool info there man, whoa really? u play that rig in church? i too sometimes play sa church namin here in baguio but simple setup lang overdrives and delay for most of the parts...ei nice config on the pickups man can u combine neck and bridge only on your guitar i mean air norton and steve's? curious lang as how's that gonna sound...u sure can rock with that rig man! cool!

You're in Baguio? My cousin is a pastor over there, may be you know him: Gilbert Vitaliz. Anyway... I didn't think about combining the Air Norton and Steve's when I decided on the wiring. I split those p-ups in the 2 and 4 position of the 5-way switch, with the middle p-up, a VirtuAL. The VirtuAL is a single coil sized humbucking p-up, like the Hot Rails. As a stand alone p-up it has a pretty convincing single coil sound. What I did in the Ibanez was split the coils of the Steve's and Air Norton with one of the coils of VirtuAL. It give a nice clean sound but it lacks the attack and the snap, or the spank, of a true single coil. Before the VirtuAL, I had the stock Ibanez single coil in the middle and I would split the humbuckers with that. It was also nice and clean, and it had more attack and snap than the VirtuAL. If I wasn't being so lazy, I would put it back in.

I can play a gig with one or no pedal at all (given the right amp for the venue)... but these days, I need more than 3 effects to make it fun and interesting for our music!!  tuner, wah/leslie/dejavibe/flanger, compressor, 2 or dual od pedals, and booster/eq.   Aaargghh!!!

u two chose 2 gain/drive pedals, tell us how u use them in a typical gig, which one is for which?

2 drive pedals, 2-3 gain stages. the TS-9 for rhythm work, the DS-1 for heavier rhythm work, both at the same time for lead work, the TS-9 acting as booster for the DS-1.

yup baguio..nope dko kilala pero what church? hmmn cool info, yea i still think splitting the coils of humbuckers gives a slightly thin sound and parang in my years of playing i can easily distinguish split coils to a real single coil eh  pero cool pickup config parin!
