If you seriously want to bulk up and gain strength, you should push yourself to be able to lift your body weight. In my case, I weigh around 170-180 lbs. I start my bench press at 140 then increment by 40 lbs. So sa second set pa lang, bodyweight ko na binubuhat ko. I do 4 sets of bench press and my last set will be at 240 lbs. Yun yung "piga" kung tawagin namin. First rep, ako lang then yun second rep may alalay na ng spotter. It took me more than 2 months to gain the bulk and strength I wanted. Carbs and protein diet ang kasabay.
