party time talaga yung paradise city! galing ni slash. kung ano tunog niya sa dvd, record, ganoon talaga! and big props to myles kennedy. kala mo noong una medyo pagod yung vocals pero nung naka warm up na, sunog na lahat.

Sumablay sila sa sound ng gen.luna. Nasa gitna,front row ako, di ko maintindihan ang vocals. And caren's goldtop was feedbacking thru out most of their set. Sayang. Ok, different equipment. So what? not an excuse. I cant hear the vocals. When slash played, it was a different story. Myles' vocal was crisp and clear. I even liked his sound last night than in the stoked dvd, really it was that good.

So what? not an excuse. I cant hear the vocals. When slash played, it was a different story. Myles' vocal was crisp and clear. I even liked his sound last night than in the stoked dvd, really it was that good.

That was because Gen Luna was given only an hour to bring their entire equipment on stage, set up, hook up to the PA, and do a soundcheck.

Akala ko matutuloy ang stage dive ni Myles. He owned the gnr songs he sang! Tapos bibilib ka sa stamina ni Slash. Palit guitar lang ang pahinga. Sulit ang oras namin ni misis.

Kudos to the crowd! Kahit hindi puno ang Araneta, the crowd compensated with noise and energy. I didn't pay for the tickets (got it for free when we bought a guitar for our daughter). Pero kung uulitin, bibili talaga ako ng tickets. Enjoy talaga pati si misis. I saw her smile all through the show. And her screams during the show (and after . . . LOL!)

bro ikaw nga ba yung nakita ko naglalakad sa parking lot around 12 midnight na ? kung ikaw nga yon hehe kami yung napatingin ka na nag pi picture taking with the 2 gibson LPs dun sa parking lot sa likod ng black na crv hahaha yung isa dun yung LP na gamit ni caren na goldtop pinagamit lang ni frey at pinadala backstage para mapapirmahan kay slash at napirmahan pareho hahaha.

I was in the middle at the FOH checking the sound.  Balanse ang tone ng vox.  Ang problem pag nasa gitna ka ng first row, wala kang maririnig kasi sidefills lumalabas lahat.  Pero kay Slash BUSOG ang vocals sa stage pa lang.  LAHAT NG MONITORS SA HARAP, KANILA YUN.  I was there at soundcheck so I knew medyo madedehado ang GL sa monitoring dahil 2 monitor lang ang binigay ng soundsystem sa Gen Luna dahil INUBOS nina Slash yung monitors.  In fact naging donor pa yung ibang sidefills para maging monitors onstage nina Slash.

Si Caren may feedback nga pero probably dahil nakita ko naka on yung #34 mode ng AFD100 amp na dala niya.  di siguro niya gamay yung effects + amp settings with that amp.

So we decided to place all GL's amps to be so close to each other so they can rely on STAGE volume and not the monitors.  Pansinin niyo na halos nasa gitna na ng stage nila yung drumkit ni Bea to compensate for the lack of monitors.

Last night was a great show! The band was tight! Truth be told, I've never been a big fan of Slash's since the beginning as I was more attracted to GnR as a whole than just Slash alone. But last night, Slash was pretty amazing! So was Myles. The whole band, actually. Two thumbs-up for the sound techs/engineers, too, for being able to keep Slash's tone and sound raw and loud. Also, for not f.ucking-up this time. But I think Slash and company brought their own tech team that's why, but, I don't know. But just the same, the mix was also a highlight.

It's just sad to know that, although many came to witness this once in a lifetime event, the venue was still far from being packed, considering the fact that the tickets were already fairly priced. For someone like Slash's stature, the tickets were actually cheap. It pains me to know that not all are still willing to spend a couple of thousands to watch a legend in action.
