cyclic redundancy

sa drive ko ba ito or sa cd? eh kabago bago lang ng disc na iniload ko eh.. isang bese ko palang nainstall. tapos ive tried some other cds ko, uubra naman pero most cyclic redundancy ang lumalabs. heelp!

madalas ding maganyan yung ibang mga cd ko lalo na pagnagtransfer ako ng files galing sa kanila, siguro sa cd yun dahil pag ibang cd naman ok.

nung i copy ko ang laman ng dvd to hard disk ganyan din ang nangyari di siya nagtuloy at ganon din ang case "cyclic redundancy" napansin ko kung masyado malalaki yung file eh ganyan ang nangyayari,  kadalasan  dahil ito sa cd pero me case na dahil din sa hard disk na me bad sector.

usually a copyright protection. try using dvdshrink or dvdfab to copy dvds onto dvdr or hdd. not sure if itll work with normal cds though.

yep namimili is the term.. so should i have its lens cleaned?

It happens... my Liteon DVDRW died on me after 6 mos. Sent it back for warranty. We'll see what happens next week when I come back for it.

Cyclic Redundancy Error: This simply means that the data being read is unreadable.

Possible Causes:

   - Bad Media (puedeng low quality yung CD/DVD na pinag-burn mo ng data)
   - Corrupted Data (puedeng during writing na corrupt yung data: masyadong malaki yung file, madaming ginagawa sa background ang computer habang nag-burn, etc.)
   - Erroneous CD lens (puedeng yung CD/DVD reader mo ang erroneous or yung CD/DVD burning lens ang sira while burning the Data)
   - Different Data Compression Level (puedeng na-burn sya sa NTFS-common to XP/Vista system & nag read ka sa Fat/Fat32 system-common to windows ME & older PCs)


Yun lang sa tingin ko ang mga possible reason why you'll get that error. Not necessarily a bad Burner.  :mrgreen:

.... hmmm... if it's giving you a "corrupted error" while reading data, this would lead you to only 2 cause, either the data is really corrupted or if the source is a CD/DVD, then the CD/DVD reader/ROM/ Lens could have been damage.  8-)
