true, it's the capacitors that make or break a motherboard, assumin they're the same chipset. that's why i never got the core duo last year, no good motherboards at the time.

cool! still remember my old abit motherboard. got it for overclocking. plus it's my first dual board. slapped p3 800's at the time, and it was crazy fast. hard to overclock dual's though.

tanong lang, yung thermal paste na nakadikit na dun sa stock cooler ng processor ay ka-shape ng didikitan nya...bakit yung instructions dito http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/274/6 mejo irregularly shaped yung pagkaka-apply ng mga thermal paste nila?

tsaka tatanong ko na din yung tungkol dun sa fan na nakuha mo sir Jun...maingay ba yang mga yan??

i still remember my first AMD PC setup with ABIT mobo for my Video Editing setup with dual procs...

ang dual procs ngayon eh dual core na... me quad core pa hehehe.

gagawa pa kaya sila ng dual procs mobos? then install 2 quad cores procs... pag nagkaganun ang kailangan mo na lang bilhin eh upuan sa workstation with seatbelt sa bilis

My current Lanparty mobo supports Socket 939 AMD Procs...

sayang kosa... parang wala pa akong balak pakawalan mobo ko eh

just checked cpu prices. damn the quadcore's almost the same price as the dualcore na! with today's hardware, yun optical drive na lang ang bottleneck. haha.

i just bought myself last week a "Q6600 Go Stepping" procs for only 12K pesos and street price nya ngayon eh 14.5K

Yes! base sa nabasa ko sa isang review site...ang Intel Quad eh pinagtabing core 2 duo lang samantalang ang quad core ng AMD eh 1 chip with 4 cores

The Barcelona Core has a different socket (haaay bagong mobo na naman) Sokcet F but eventually they will make one for socket AM2 so the the existing coolers will be compatible. What i read din is the Barcelona core will be more cooler than the Intels Quad.

on the topic of cpu coolers, i still use the stock hsf since i don't overclock anymore. found my old stash of artic silver 5. it lowered cpu temps by 2-4 degs compared to the bundled thermal material.
