I think what a lot of people here want is a Rico clone - or Rico to come back. You know, he was the one who left Rivermaya. Rivermaya did not kick him out. So to all the Rico lovers: he left, okay? He didn't like being in Rivermaya anymore.

So, do you guys really think that Rivermaya would like a Rico clone? I think that would be too painful for them. Better like this, a new start. Forget Bamboo, forget Rico, forget Perf, forget Nathan, forget Kakoi. Just focus on the new Rivermaya, and see what it's all about. and if you don't like it, be a fan enough - or a music lover enough - to give them respect. You may choose not to like their new vocalist, but don't destroy the poor man just because he's the new guy. Jeez.

Ganun na yun mga pre, kahit ano na ang mga hidden reasons behind his departure, nagyari na. I for instance really want rico back, I mean I idolize him pero when I heard the news na nawala na sya..boofff!!! i didn't know what to look for anymore.Rivermaya granted most of us a better personal look of what life is through their music.
Lets take it this way, they are gods and we are their followers and we all know na they wouldn't last forever together but they are!!

I don't like his performance much either, but I do remember when Rico first went up as frontman. and it's pretty much the same. Rico acquitted himself well after a while, so let's give this guy the same chance, ey? Ang nangyayari dito, puro "he EFFING sucks" - aba siyempre! he's still learning, and all these negative vibes aren't helping any. We're just as bad as all those Americans who hate it that a Filipino became the lead guy in Journey.

Bottom line is, he's not being given even the chance to grow into the role.

you have a point, but medyo iba ang nangyari sa Journey, kaya ayaw nila at galit yung mga Amerikano ay dahil sa Racial difference, sa Rivermaya "talent", alam kung medyo unfair ito but dont get me wrong i respect the guy for his gut, i just can't "YET" accept him as a replacement.

Di pa rin talaga nag-fi-fit-in ang vox ni Jason sa bago nilang kanta. Yung parang medyo heavy yung sa part ng pagkanta nina Mike and Japs, tapos biglang sa part ni Jason, mahina yung instruments. Nagmukhang saling-pusa yung bagong vox.

Di ba merong part dun sa Bagong Liwanag talent search na para sa mga instrumentalists? Ano na nga ba nangyari doon?

that's okay for me, considering he has yet to find his own voice and his own style. both rico and bamboo weren't that acclaimed too to begin with.

hindi ko pa napanood ang "bagong" Rivermaya ngayon kasi mejo apathetic na ko sa mga nangyayaring mutation sa Rivermaya. in short, wala na kong pakialam sa kanila. haha. ang sama.

anyways, babase na lang ako sa mga nagkokomento dito tungkol sa bagong bokalista. sa palagay ko, baka nalilito pa si Jason sa sarili niya. siguro nasa stage pa siya na naghahalo pa yung pagiging fan niya at isang seryosong musikero. minsan kasi pag sobrang fan tayo ng isang banda, unconsciously or consciously nagagaya natin yung styles ng iniidolo natin. baka hinahanap pa niya yung sarili niyang identidad bilang bokalista.
