Wooden cases vs. ABS plastic cases

Hi guys.

I was wondering kung which of these two types of guitar cases are better?
According to the spec sheets on Gator's website, the wooden case weighs only 8lbs, while the ABS case weighs over 11lbs.

Which of these are more durable? :-)
