Paradiddles
« on: November 25, 2007, 04:08:40 AM »
I've been practicing 'em for a year almost a year now.

It improved me via:

better stick control
better single strokes
cleaner and more creative accents over the hi hat
playing relaxed
incorporated fills between toms, snare and bass drum.

have you ever burnt that midnight oil on paradiddles? if you did..what benefits did you get?
Tele bought 20K. Upgraded pots.  FS: 30K  Trade Value BS: 85K.  Deal tayo?

Accent, roll technics on toms and snare. Well its the basic thing to follow when it comes with intermediate drumming. hmmm it helped controling double my strokes combined with single strokes.
Just let your music fill the empty spaces in you. It's all you have so take advantage of it. It's a gift!

OT
Please dont let it go on that way. Take it from me. Specially if you are now in college or university as other countries call it.

Though I never had failing grades during my studies, I did not excel either as I dont want to spend too much time studying. Now that I want to improve myself and take a masters degree, I cant. Simply because my grades does not qualify enough.

I think 90% of my playing is based on paradiddles and hybrid paradiddles. -Obviously because its a combination of singles and doubles!
So Be It.
