I say YES to building your own guitar! Salamat at nalaman ko na may pagkukuhanan din ng kahoy dito sa maynila.

its easy to sand.  just start with 120 grit sandpaper then work your way up to finer grits.  its fairly porous, if you want to fill the pore you'll need a filler :-)

JB eric found a sash factory that will resaw the toog for us he had his resawn already might take the trip this monday need to have the pine pass thru the jointer, baka next month bili narin ako nang jointer and a bigger bandsaw for resawing para less hassle, regarding the drum sander will need to ask somebody if he will be kind enough to let us use his drum sander

yay!!!  finally i can get my second project started :-)
thanks guys!
but monday i can't, coding ang auto ko :-(

Did you guys hear about the moratorium on logging equipment (it's on the newspapers last week)?  It's high time to get your hands on the wood you're gonna be needing!  Baka mahihirapan kayo kumuha ng source, either magmahal, or mag-hoard yung mga suppliers, or just plain walang makuha.

eto yun stripped body, pinaglaruan ko lang, thinking of repainting it. its a local guitar with a very thick paint, daming layer / coats. wag nyo na tanong if this has the tone and timbre because its just a project guitar :-D

Siore,

Thanks for the info. :-)

Personally I have no problem with the government if they impose and enforce this ban.  Our forests have been raped too many times already.

Prices will jump and availability will be hard, it will suck, but if it means to protect our forests ok lang.  I'll whine about the prices and such, but I know it's for the better.

I just hope that our government will follow through on this.

Yeah, I think you're right.  Time to hoard
