I came across a lumber dealer in our area when I took my son for a booster shot. They only have mahogany and tanguile, however. Hope they have sawing services. I don't think I can bring home a 20-foot plank by car

Sadly, no. I'll be in Baguio for the weekend. Make sure you guys update me how it goes. ;-) What are you planning to buy, anyway?

For this supplier, I'll have to check out what they have and how much they cost. Hope to find some wood for my starter stash :-P

I'm not sure yet. I'll be in starting my 1st guitar build probably next year when I move out of Manila.

i like the straight grained, even colored planks.  i don't worry about the tap tone, you cant accurately test it on a 4 foot plank :-)

despite the rain, nothing could stop us from getting our fix

my new stash of REAL mahogany neck blanks and kamagong plates

mikko's partial stash of one piece mahogany (real) bodies and necks

all ready for their new home:

imagine, a 6ftx8inx2in board and all i got was one usable back and side set.  but very pretty

still managed to get headplates and droptop sets from it though

a fingerboard blank.  we split the board 3 ways

 :-D

Can't make it this Saturday. I'll be jamming with Boosted in Paranaque in the morning for a Decemvber X-mas party.
