the Drummer appeal

 Am just curious guys. bakit malakas appeal ng drummer ng isang band sa mga girls?
I dont know if its just me, but i noticed that most girls na mga nakakausap ko , officemate, friend, acquaintance, neighbor or  chatmate man eh parang iba dating ng drummer sa kanila. 

common reactions were,
astig mag drums no? cute ba drummer nyo  ?
parang ok magdrums no?
I dont know baka nagkataon lang sakin.

*I remember even my youngest sister, out of nowhere took up drumming lessons when shes still in HS dahil wala lang daw, parang ang sarap daw kasi

i do agree with you on this not because i'm a drummer but i've heard first hand the same things you mentioned.

although i'm not sure why it is that drummers are appealing, not only to girls, but also to guys(not in a gay manner), you know what i mean. that's actually the same reason why i got into drumming, i saw my cousin play the drums. and when i heard, take note, heard, not seen, heard him playing the drums, i was blown away. i really find drummers cool ever since.

i think, it's because it's the drummer who's giving the beat or groove and that's where the listeners are moved and entertained, mostly. i don't mean to be unfair to the other members of the band. of course, each has it's own appeal in a different way.

..."because drummers are usually behind a large object (drums -duh!), people find us drummers mysterious" (what's funny is i've actually heard this reason  ).

In my opinion, people find us much appealing because not only we give but we also control the grooves that we play. Kung wala tayong gana tumugtog or something is bothering us, mararamdaman ng nakikinig through our chops. Kahit hindi pa marunong sa music yan.

My reason for shifting from keyboards to drums is, i'm a shy person. Ayoko na nakikita ako ng tao directly. Tapos i cannot express my feelings about the music nung nagki-keyboards pa ako, mas na-express ko music ko through drumming.

haha... same here... i mean its not me pero medyo ganun na nga kasi pansin na pansin agad pag ang lupit nung drummer pumalo tapos pagbigay todo pa!! sabi nga sa isang thread eh " ung mga drummer dinudungaw pa para lang makita!!!" haha!!! mabuhay ang mga cute ..este.. mga drummers!!!

In my case... I've used drumming as a tool for catching attention... also I get the chance to hear what people think of my drumming... so I find it as a chance to refine my craft. As for the girls... well I usually try to impress them with my drumming but it doesn't work like magic... it like just a big boost for pogi points ahahaha! and eventually one ex-girlfriend of mine called me a drumming freak! coz I am a big drumming freak ehehehe!

There was one gig na sobra taas ng stage, and the shy person i am, pagkatapos ng gig bumaba agad ako. And then there were these ladies talking around the back saying "Ang cute naman nung drummer nila, ang galing pa!" Lol, and i was smoking a few feet away from them. Kami pa lang naman ang natapos tumugtog nun. The joys of being hidden behind the kit!

The drumkit itself is such an awesome instrument kahit saang anggulo mo tingnan. Unlike with other instruments na kailangan mong maging technically skilled, sa drums kahit simple ka lang pumoste basta't magaling ka sa dynamics, dun napapasayaw ang nakikinig, kaya siguro "malakas" ang dating ng mga drummers.

A drummer for her is very dominating, so Astig daw! Its the life of the band. And paulit -ulit nyang sinasabi "Basta Astig pag Drummer". Maybe that is one reason why I became her BF hahaha...
