Do all phones have line filters? My experience is that you can only have one extension phone, on top of the main phone, in a DSL enabled line - we tried 2 extensions but kept getting errors. Try getting rid of one extension. (I used to work with the phone company, btw.)

You must have 2 splitters if you have 3 phones. the first one must bne plugged on the main phoneline. ung isa dun DSL line. tapos splitter dun sa isa na may 3 holes para dun sa 3 phones.

You can't have too many splitters. Most subscriber distribution is via RAN cabinets nowadays which seem to be sensitive to line loading and line noise. Couple that with long aerial cable/drop wire runs, old jacketed wiring and noisy terminations, you can cause the line to be unstable enough for DSL not to work, but works perfectly with POTS.

Splitters are usually more efficient than a splitterless configuration but the devices are more expensive than line filters. Try getting your phone line feed from the primary splitter in your circuit.

I know your area very well. I used to work in Grace Park for a couple of years and I can tell you that corrosion is a very common problem, especially with aerial cables and drop wires. Replacing the line filter probably meant that corrosion crept into the contacts - these things can be hard to diagnose unless you trace the line from the outside cabinet to the cables, all the way to the modem.

We knew from the start that they'd be giving a modem only... that's why we got a our own router instead.  :-D  If you think you had it bad, how about the time when some a$$ was stealing our cables here... :x  after all my coordination efforts on bypassing the RAN cabinets in favor of direct copper connection! We lost service for almost a month (and I was in direct communication with the exchange manager!).
