Did Mr Vai ever visited the country? :D I am wondering of all the Ibanez/Audiophile clinics that have been going, If he had a time to go to the philippines, even if it's not for a tour or concert, then a guitar clinic would be great!

He was supposed to, from way back. But for some reason, the plan never materialized. The supposed visit/gig was to be held at the Hard Rock Cafe but Mr. Bert Nievera, Martin Nievera's dad, didn't allow it and so the tour was cancelled and has never come into fruition. Mr. Nievera at the time was part of the Hard Rock management I believe. This story has been circling around the local guitar community for more than a decade now.

totoo yan fafi...

may alam akong grupo na nakakatugtog na sa mga HRC within Asian countries

na rock and alternative tugtugan...

after one gig sa HRC makati e aba hindi na sila binigyan ng pwesto ulit...

maingay daw sila...

experience ko sa mga HRC na napuntahan ko e talagang hard rock ang preferrence nilang bands...

matindi dapat ang pormahan at piyesahan...tsaka stage performance ng bawat miyembro...

kapag wala niyan e uwi ang grupo   :-P

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if the Design a JEM Competition winnter is already out. It is supposed to be announced last July 6. ehe, Haaaay. I just regret not being able to pass my design, (I didn't have the time to do it too).

Steve Vai - My 1st Guitar hero who made me get into Guitar Instrumentals. Simula noong Passion and Warfare, sunod sunod na pakinig ko sa iba pang mga instrumentalists like Satch, Hoey, and Saraceno.  JEM ang last kong target na gitara para ma complete ang collection, nakuha ko na ang VH and WYLDE sig guitars.  Budget lang ang wala:(
