.....not familiar of Brad Paisley tone.

I can't hear the "chirp"(usually what I listen for)....which is one of the distictive character of the zendrive or D style amp OD tone........usually happens when you dig into the bass strings  ...also happens when you do a sliding pull off and when you slide going half fret up.
...or "embelishments" ... am I using the right word, Markflo? 

The tone is pretty warm though.....nice tone.
 

But when I played Bart's Tele with the Zen drive plugged to his Z amp.

I was getting tones really close to this....using the bridge pickup.

Phil, dinig naman dun sa clip ni jmorrero  yung 'chirp' ah. Actually, mas nadidinig ko sa setup n'ya kesa sa setup ko yung distinct Zen tone. Nung ginamit mo ba yung Tele ko nadinig mo yung 'chirp'?

dunno...di ko marinig eh. I only hear that typical warm tone and that sound when you hit the strings hard.

yeah thanks, sonny.....ibang klaseng OD tone and zendrive. For me, it's really good for jazz style lead/rhythm an other stuff. It's a good tone to have in your arsenal.

However, If I want that classic blues od type tone...I wouldn't go for the zen though. .... it's too smooth and a bit mid rangey.... that is why I'm looking for another OD pedal to do that.....perhaps a lovepedal? OCDv4? timmy? which one?......haaaaay.

I played it with my strat a few minutes ago...I definitely need to change my strat pickups....just sounding sterile.

get a Tim for blues tones. It has a boost function , independent gain and tone controls for each channel, send/return loop and stacks up well with the Zendrive too! Very transparent IMO.

I tried to emulate the ETHOS using my RC Booster and Zen...... no dice. Iba talaga ang tunog ng ETHOS.
