hahahaha - it is inevitable man. try coaxing your band's payment out of a drunk - or even worse - absent promoter! you can't take it personally and just chalk it up to how things might turn out on the playing circuit, such things are unforeseen.

but if you have a choice? why not get paid a bit? at the least, a meal, right?

have been playing for free for 4 years. haha. my current band even had to go to katipunan for a free gig. all we got was food. not that bad but still. ah well. we'd do anything for exposure. right mr. riffscreamer?

Depende pa din.............Kung may sponsor yung production / concert para sa budget ng mga talents............. Malamang meron bayad plus amenities.......

hmmm,  matanong ko lang, meron bang gig na rock (in general) ang genre ng tugtugan na may budget, i mean yung di mo kailangan mag sell ng tickets para may porsyento ka?

kung may nakaka alam kung saan ang mga gigs na ganun paki pm nalang sakin please  

masarap tumugtog, sa stage, sa harap ng mga tao. . . pero magastos din. gastos sa rent sa studio, traspo papunta at pauwi sa gig, pag maintain ng instruments (like guitar strings, battery sa fx. . .)

Sir marami akong kilala d2 sa marikina.......tugtugan Pantera, Dream theater, Progressive.........then suma-sideline sila sa showband just to maintain their budget & for their families.........

Mahirap sir, kahit ako i have dreams of having such theory......... Pero may mga Gig spots na may Rock & Roll nights din, pwede ka din cguro mag singit ng orig mo pa konte-konte.......Dito may budget.......

But if we are looking for something like "Club Dredd" na may budget........ Medyo may konting kahirapan...........Even Patrick D. Reidenbach ( tama ba spelling ko........ ) don't gave compensation to eraserheads & other bands that spawn from their lair........meron cguro honorarium.

Kaya tiyaga sir, pag naka-album ka at major label........
Hataw sa mga raket at provincial tours dun ka pwdeng sumungil ng
malaki....... kc mliit din ang kita sa album........ Kung may initial contract budget, suwerte......... Kung ang contract ay 2 years, minsan kailangan mong punan pa yung 2 years, working with that same label in order for you to get the sum................
