Hi guys! 'been a while since I last posted on this thread. My band is currently producing our own materials, and I am the one mixing our songs. Sa mga masters dito, pahingi naman ng additional advice/critique sa mix na ito, so I can improve the mix further. Give me some insights, the good and the bad about it. This was our first track. Just don't be too harsh ah, still in the process of learning. hahaha!

Tama si BoxedKing, ang pinaka malaking makakapagbago sa mix is yung drum track.
Drums:Mid heavy. Actually ang na-accentuate mo is yung "box" frequencies (aka. yung tunog kahon). Needs more of pretty much every other frequency. Importante sa drums though, yung 100-200Hz for the kick, tapos yung mga "tunog lata" frequencies (I think nasa bandang 1k-2kHz). Ingat lang sa cymbals, they tend to get really harsh, but the easiest (but not best) way to EQ the cymbals is to do a mid schoop.
Bass:Needs a lot of compression, but I would personally compress and automate this one. masyado litaw yung upper register. Di ko na papakialaman yung tone ng bass, but IMO I'd gun for a compressed DI sound (no amp sim) with a lowpass filter.
Vocals:More reverb and high shelf EQ.
Guitars:Mid boost sa upper mids, for more meat, then up in the mix. Scooped kasi yung dating, tapos kailangan konting lakas pa. Masyado sya nasa background. And something that applies to records that doesn't work with live: ibaba mo rin yung lead guitar sa mix, tapos idaan mo sa EQ and reverb. You want it to sit in the mix kasi "epic" yung dating nung solo so "space" is preferable in this case than being "in your face."
