Ang mga PRS na parating ata ay Santana3,McCarty Hollow body,Mark Tremonti and some other i can`t remember.This are all U.S not Korean SE`s.The ESP are fairly and competetively priced.Sometimes prices on the buyers guide are even higher than the PJC prices.I should know,I was there yesterday with my buyers guide and man the prices are really good. :-D

Sir I`ve never seen or heard a music store that sells PRS pickups niether local or foreign.I believe PRS pickups are exclusively stock pickups on PRS guitars.
Actually, you can but you have to order it online... one is from www.elderly.com and of course www.prsguitars.com but they don't ship worldwide. So my last resort is to order it from www.elderly.com but then again I want the pickups firsthand from the music store.
but you might be right, never saw any music stores selling PRS pups...
I'm planning to upgrade my PRS SE that's why.

Oo nga sir,medyo mataas yung mesa boogie and I thought overprized sya.But I checked further and I was wrong,the mesa F30 He`s selling is a Custom Shop Upgraded model and not the standard F30 w/c is black w/ a common black grill.I`ve tried the amp and man it sounded really good.My volume is just number 1 with a flat eq setting and it was already very loud.This amp is amazing,wish I had money to buy it. :-D

Visited the shop last night. Nice collection of Epiphones, PRS USA mades, ESPs and the Elegees. They also have lots of pick up rings, straps from Gibson and PRS, cables from Planet Waves, some amps and other stuff. Had a talk with PJ, the owner, who is very accommodating. My son tried his Epiphone LP ( good price) in one of his Laney amps. Worth going over there and checking out his stuff. While there, you can have your car detailed by any of the nearby shops that do it.

I really think we should make time in visiting the store for us to have a peace of mind. I noticed everyone got excited when we heard that there's a new Guitar shop in Ortigas. We all have our questions (out of interests) and the best thing would be to go there ourselves. Me I don't want to rely on texts or phone calls that much. Especially when I want to talk to the clerks or manager about hard-to-order ESP guitars. Nothing can be more professional than a face-to-face business transaction if I say so myself. I think eventually they're gonna have a website someday for the price lists... ehem by the way I do website development hehe :wink: just kidding. Am loaded with work myself nowadays. Anyway they can also post prices here in the forum but still... I'm sure some of us would still wanna have a first hand look of those babies.

Just went there today. The place was a little hard to find but the guitars were sweet :evil: I tried out the ESP Horizon which I found was a bit "off" for me. Sablay lang siguro yung setup nung amp but the crunch just wasn't there for me.
The Elegees were awesome though. They really do go head to head with PRS in looks and quality.
Ei guys, tinanong ko din kung kelan sila magkakaroon ng bagong stock. Sabi more ESPs are coming daw and also Musicman JP guitars. I think I might wait for that (even if it costs 140k :-P :lol: )

no not authorized order taker. the elegees there were made according to what PJC wanted. and as bluejem pointed out, they're somewhat modeled after some older custom job jon did.

Dude, nung nagpunta ako dun, sabi nila wala pa daw silang balak mag-carry ng mga Dean guitars. Pero magkakaroon pa daw sila ng ibang ESP models tsaka John Petrucci Musicman guitar in 1-2 months. Kung gusto mo ng Dean, mayroon sa JB Music sa Megamall pero mga low-end models lang.

Hindi ako taga JB ha. disclaimer muna baka isipin hijack ako ng thread. tuloy ko lang yung suggestion about sa Dean,
yeah ang alam ko JB meron sila. about sa high end line, baka pwede naman yata. they just require a 30% down for them to place the order then you wait like 3 months (hassle nga lang) for the item. I asked before kse I wanted to get the higher model na explorer type na guitar and that's what they told me. :-D

No need to apologize, bro. Its about time someone brought in good guitars like ESP, Epiphone, and Ernieball. Since Yupangco have plenty of branches I'm sure they can afford to provide parts to it by order. And with that said there won't be any shortage of resources since Yupangco handles both Perfect Pitch and Yamaha stores. So it's better to focus on things that are not available on other music shops like RJ, JB or AP. I know it sounds biased but that would make PJC unique when it comes to merchandise. Since PJC just recently opened I would prefer for them to concentrate on their current merchandise so they can maintain their services that would meet the customer's expectations. Maybe in the long run when things are more stable THEN I'm sure they can afford to get other guitars that are available in other stores. But I do notice that they have PRS guitars so it seems they're able to squeeze in some competition with JB. I pray that things dont turn out like on what happened with RJ guitars. I dunno whats the story behind it but RJ used to have imported guitars. Til one day they decided to sell only RJ guitars. I guess the bottomline on what I'm saying is that consistency of service is the key to a successful business transaction for both the sellers and buyers.

Ditto. Before, I thought that ESP guitars were already available in the Philippines, so it broke my heart when I found out that they weren't. Your store is a godsend and I'm going to be waiting for the Ernieball guitars.... :-D

Sabi nila di na daw pinapayagan ng EMG for now ang shipping ng EMG products outside US. di ko alam kung totoo pero yun ang sabi sakin. Nung January ko na experience yun. I ended up getting mine from ebay.

Maybe some B-52 amps? Alot of us want an entry-level/well-priced tube amp. You guys could also look into MOEN and Marshall pedals. I tried a couple from each brand today(I'm in Singapore right now) and looks to me that they have the potential to sell big here.

A friend of mine told me that AP Boni is selling bbe sonic maximizers. So I bought a BBE 262 Sonic Maximizer and to my surprise, i saw the print in their plastic bag "the exclusive distributor of... BBE". I wasnt aware that AP was a distributor of BBE. i thought they were like everythingmusic na kumukuha ng order internationally.
nonetheless, PJC should bridge the gap between the scarcity of the BBE Products and the increasing aggregate "sonic" demand of the pinoy musicians kasi limited lng yung nasa AP! :-D

went to ortigas area this afternoon. passed by ortigas home depot afterwards to look for this store. naka ilang ikot ako (3 rounds) and asked around 4 guards to help me find this music store/"yung nagtitinda ng gitara" store. two guards said walang ganun sa area, while two said nandiyan lang yan. one of the guards even said na may naghahanap din ng same store before me. and according to him di rin niya nahanap.
yun. went home because i couldn't find it and none of the guards there could guide me to the right direction. the map on the first page was pretty vague, didn't find directional signs or the store's signage if ever meron.
maybe you could make your map more specific, taking note of some stores beside pjc for landmarking would help. put up directional signs. or at least educate the guards about your store's location.
well, this was my experience. don't know if i wasn't boy scout lang enough to find your place. but extra awareness and visibility would always help more people know that your store exists. :-)

I have noticed something ...
There are 524 posts and yet I believe Chawi has not even generated 1/10 of those number of inquiries as actual sales transactions. For those who have not gone to PJC music, can we just stop asking these things and actually go to Chawi's place and see his stuff and try them out and then ask?
Kakaawa rin dahil parang we expect him to bring the whole line of whatever he carries and to carry additional lines that we will in some way just order from abroad thru a friend or relative. Parang ginagawa siyang benchmark price for US purchases.
I have gone to his place and though I would want to buy something I did not because:
1) Majority of his stuff does not meet my minimum standard in terms of sound. And I have a really high standard but that does not mean that you will not like them.
2) The stuff that I really really liked was pricey compared to U.S. street price but that does not mean I will not buy them.

Though you let me try stuff, I have been hearing feedback from others that they don't get a chance to try. Take a cue from Mike Sison of Philcadence who actually allows people to try the stuff. First thing to do is take out all those plastic wrappers because they make me feel like some guy from raon is going to ask me some heavenly price and make a big deal out of it. You have to encourage people not to feel intimidated. I suggest you take a short trip to Tom Lee Hong Kong main branch and see for yourself how easy it is to test a P100,000 guitar.

sir firemodel55. ask ko lang if you tried asking for a little discount? i know the stuff he sells are a bit pricey but, take into consideration din ung tax and shipping nung mga items and shempre kelangan may mark up din. you dont want to work for free naman po diba? :) peace po bos :D

I forgot to say that I think ESP prices are OK because he gets them direct. Nowadays when I shop for guitars, I look at character more than the price. Even if its a cheaper guitar from Perfect Pitch or JB kung walang doon ang tone, I would not buy just to save money.

I have nothing against it if some things are pricier because kung maganda naman ang tone specially with guitars its ok but kung panget ang tunog at pricier then my issue ako.
I recommend you go to Tom Lee Hong Kong and see how it easy it is to try out EVERYTHING. It is not an issue. I think some guys recently went ga-ga in Hong Kong -- see related thread. By the way I allowed PJ to try out my Baker so he would know what sound I wanted and I was not after anything from PJ.

sir alex, your saying that my guitars are so pricey? but you bought from the u.s. a baker guitar that is worth USD5,000? all the customers that went to my shop, i see to it that if they want to test the guitar or some effects i allow them to do so. on the effects that are still wrapped with plastic, well i just want to maintain the item as really brand new because i myself is a customer also to the other shops and i know how a customer feels, am i right? some of them i want to let them feel the musicman petrucci or some prs but they insist maybe they are shy to try it out. all my customers i see to it that i establish a good relation with them. because in the first place the one they are talking to is the owner right?

there is no problem with me if i reply all the inquiries of customers because in the first i' m also a member of this site and it is not hassel for me to reply here. in exception of some that are texting me after office hours, and im telling them to call first thing in the morning the day after or if they have time. because we cannot memorize all the prices of the items right? sir alex i'm not arguing with you, im just expressing on my behalf. i know customers are always right so there's no need to argue.
