a true rocker can be a jazzer someday but a true jazzer cannot shift to rock...At walang ultimate type of music

no can't be.. John petrucci started as jazz player when he was studying in berkley, same as satriani too, he started from jazz warm-up and scales.

Just like Alex Skolnik of Testament, he used to play Metal then he left
to study more music. now he plays awesome jazz pero cinocover nya Rock songs din.

but he's back to metal...

and even during his bebop days, he would play rock with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Me nagsabi saken neto. Metalcore kase banatan ko. Pang kids daw. :)) Magblues nalang daw ako at Jazz. I love different genres I'm even into Tagalog Rap like Juan Thugs. Pero di ko talaga trip tugtugin yung Blues and Jazz eh. ;)) Siguro dahil sa age nga din. Kase 19 lang ako. Pwahaha! ^____^

in time ,,maapreciate mo din ang blues and jazz,,when i was at your age,,i freakin hate those,,seriously,,,when i got older and decided to embrace different kinds of genre in music,,even "world music" (not literaly world music) but the genre itself,,saka ko na realize na important din pala na ikutan ko lahat :-) hindi man sa lahat pero as much as posible ma pass through ko sila :-) in due time, ,for sure ,,youll be able to embrace them too

Actually, I love listening to Blues and Jazz din naman. But playing them through my guitar indi po eh. :-s Listening lang oo. I'm even into classical music and I'm into almost all kinds of genres, from classical to electronica. But then, I just dont get excited or get the feeling that I wanna play it. Pero as of now, I'm still wanna play Christian Metalcore songs and create acoustic R&B music. :D

may pagkakaiba ata ang maturity at disiplina di ba, shifting to one genre to another is a musicians choice whatever the he/she has.. kung ganun di ba personal un, tapos papasok lang ang maturity siguro kung na reach mo na yun gusto mo marating as a musician but it still says one thing " Pansarili mo itong satisfaction " na ibig sabihin eh nag mature ka personally. Disiplina naman iba din yun, di ba nga dedikasyon mo un sa pagiging musikero mo, rules you live by as a musician. And lastly      " there is no maturity but its the fulfillment we get from what we are doing " hehe mabuhay ang mga musikerong pinoy

well for me it doesnt matter what genre is for matured and for those who is just dangling around

as long as you love what you are doing it will manifest greatly in your playing...

and people, in effect will also love it!!!

and crave for it hanggang one day may mga followers ka na

at nakapag iwan ka ng footsteps for others to follow.
