really, anthony? wow! i also have a pair of ahead's...matt sorum model which are long and heavy. i've only broken the outer shafts. i rarely use them kasi nga ang bigat!!!

Uy.. buti pa kayo may Ahead drumsticks.. Is it available here in the philippines? I've been visiting the site (www.bigbangdist.com) before, but due to unavailability here, e tinigil ko na ang aking pangangarap..

I have here Zildjian 5A sticks.. Para sa akin eh eto ang worth the price. Ung Zildjian, parang natatasahan lang, getting thinner pero tumagal nng di nababali..

I've used vic firth before, un, naputol 2 inches from the tip.

I also tried Lazer, after a single jam, nahati sa dalawa, almost lengthwise pa ang pagkasira..

Ofcourse may kinalaman sa genre namin, hardcore kaya requires a heavy hit.. Baka masyado lang ako nagwawala..

i tried zildjian sticks pero di nagclick sa akin (5A and DIP stick)

vic firth ang nagclick sa akin...
tamang tama yung tip pati yung weight ng 5A wood!
lazer jazz kung hindi makabili ng vic firth, nababali nga lang kagad

ey ciro!
nice thread man, for me, sticks are just like an attire...it depends on the occasion.

regarding to pro-marks durability...yes, it's nylon sticks, attaches pretty well compared to z's and vf's.

sweating also brittles the stick that's why some drummer's prefer to play with gloves, not only do they protect the stick, it also avoids the stick to slip.

haven't tried carbon fiber sticks, pero plan ko bumili, magaan daw ito (sabi sa ebay), minsan gumagamit din ako ng fiberglass drumsticks, medyo mabigat, maganda lang tignan (kasi transparent) pero not advisable, parang dalawang 5a each hand ang hawak mo sa bigat.

ah...siyempre Ahead sticks na! Palit na lang balat kapag laspag na or tip kapag barag na..

pero kun natural wood..since I joined a rak en rol group and broke a lot of brands (not to be proud of really, required lang talaga),...Pro-Mark Neil Peart sig lasted.

matagal ko na rin gusto masubukan yang pro-mark la special na ya. makabili nga minsan. ako gamit ko na nagtagal sakin e nova na 7a. pero di kc ako heavy hitter. zildjians di nagtatagal sa kin. natuwa ako sa fernando kc mura at medyo maganda rin yung feel pero pag tumatagal malakas na yung vibration nya., sakit sa kamay tsaka nakakapaltos. laser... im intrigued. san ba ko pede bumili ng laser na stix

pare.. fernando ginagamit ko. nagmahal na nga dati 60 lang ngayon 70 na. pero yun pa din ginagamit ko. ok naman siya pero syempre madali maputol pero ok lang murang mura naman.

ahhh.... salamat poh... mejo mg 1 month n ako ng start ng drum lesson ko eh wla p ako sariling drumstick ang gngmit ko un nsa studio eh bibilhin ko sna un nylon tip... hehehe salamat s info...

bkit kylangan lgyan ng tape un drum stick?? un part n hinahawakan ng kamay? at ung part n nsa baba ng tip... ^___^ newbie tlga eh... =P
