Sharing my second version of my pedal board, more simplified.  I got rid of modulation pedals and replaced it with RP355.  The amp is part of the overall tone.  Path:  Comp -> OS-2 -> tuner -> PRE-AMP -> RP355 -> MXR 10-band -> POWER AMP
Next project: Pedaltrain  :-D

Wow, looks out of this earth!  Custom pedal to sir?  What can it do with the knobs and the switches?  This looks ready to rock and roll and seek and destroy!

all your stuff looks great!

question,

if you had a Zoom505, Boston HM100, BOSS NS2 (w/ send return function) , EQ, and CompSust pedal, how would you chain it?

Im trying to get the best chain to get a good metal tone with what i got.

My board for the past 6 months (no GAS).

PLEXI - My old BSIAB2 that I re-incarnated modified some values of the caps to open up the sound and lessen the thickness of the sound. before it used to sound so 80's metal. I normally use the gain just halfway. It's a high gain pedal very responsive to picking and harmonics.

COT - My take on the COT50, this pedal gives me the fuzz I need. Works great for my single coils. I sometimes boost it with the SD-1 for more grit or the SHO for volume boost.

SD-1 - It's a Fulldrive Mod. Did a side by side comparison with Yahoo and it sounded the same. It has more gain compared to the stock SD-1. Works great for hard rock, also responsive to picking and harmonics specially if the amp is in high volume.

SHO - This is my SHO clone that I built. It serves it's purpose.

I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones.

i play metal, and with how we play our songs, i only need a good distortion and my 505 can deliver, so its my ONLY dirt source, now im starting to build my board and i wanna keep my old mix with the 505 as my "core" tone and just boost it up with the hm100. so theres a little dist on the 505. im afraid to let go of the 505 since if all else fails, i can easily switch back to the 505 hi gain mix, so it actually serves as my back up plan and also my preamp. am i making sense? please do give me inputs, i'd appreciate it very much.

It's cool. I like adding a little dirt to my delay, especially when i do oscillations and stuff. Pero pag masyado and delay, it can mush up the signal.  I've had a few pedals and learned that you dont have to follow any "chain rules".. whatever sounds good to you is always king.  As far as demo... im not good enough for that  :)

Pedalboard people:

Anyone tried to create a switching unit that does the following:
* ON: Your pedalboard chain is routed as follows: Guitar --> pre-pre effects --> Amp preamp --> efx loop (mod effects + delay) --> back to amp
* OFF: your whole pedalboard goes in front of the amp.

I've researched some stuff in the net, and I found someone who used a 3PDT switch and 2PDT, so this looks feasible.  But I did not know what the result was.  So I'm trying to design a box with 3 in and 3 out and a 3PDT switch to achieve the above.  See below:

Anyone tried to do this?  Magkaka problem ba to sa ground?  Before I buy the materials, I'd like to know if this will work.  Appreciate any inputs.  Please do not ask me "why I want to do this?", hehe.  I know I can just turn off the amp and re-configure my cable so I don't have to do this, but I just want to  :-D.  Anyway, appreciate your help if you have experience on this.

Routing when switch is "ON"

Signal routing when switch is "OFF"

How about this?
My 2 loop switcher and FXsend return blender.SW1-on/off while SW2 to toggle between the two loops.Blender always on(for mod and delay).

Sa block diagram mo naman ok naman sa tingin ko using 3PDT wala lang LED.Possible problem yung FXsend return noise(long cables).

Yun bro!  You're the guy who has a wicked custom pedals.  Thanks!  How does your blender work?  Kala ko kanina Jim Dunlop yun hinanap ko sa site nila.  Custom pala yan, tapos may sticker, hehe.  Naisip ko din nga walang LED.  Second option ko is tatlong DPDT and manually ko na lang pipindutin each switch.  Medyo mas cumbersome nga lang pero at least naka switch both ground and hot.  Pwede ba natin to dalhin sa DIY thread? http://talk.philmusic.com/index.php?topic=262908.0  I plan to test this in a breadboard this weekend eh before I buy the components.
