ayon sa google maps, 57.6km lang naman ang total road distance ng Makati Avenue sa Tagaytay City Proper.
kung 25 minutes makakarating ka dun, kelangan constant speed mo eh 140 km/h  :-D

Reading the local forums/threads (including our thread), akala ko local issue lang itong blinkers on near zero visibility. Hindi pala. Even in other countries, they have debates regarding this practice. So, unless there is a law against the use hazard lights/blinkers during near zero visibility, maraming gagamit nyan.

that's right mod qroon.

problem is walang law about it, nor is it a hard written rule in driving because for the most part of vehicle operation, we can't really regulate it.
it's going to be like regulating against the use of heel-and-toe shifting because of the noise it makes through the exhaust  :-D

tama ka dyan, regulating the use of blinkers during low visibility is like trying to regulate parking and making it mandatory that all cars should park facing the wall. and in the spirit practicality, you really can't apprehend people when it happens, just like you can't penalize people for not being calm and orderly when there is a fire in a building.

I think it will help though, to include it as one of the more "major" infos we teach as the norm, just like the numerous rules of thumb we learn when starting to drive. I think it's something we can change as part of the motoring community, let's not even expect the [strawberry] in our government agencies to make this change. After all, it does concern safety, and IMO it is as equally debatable as defensive driving

true, good info will really be helpful for everyone haha they just do not have an idea how hazardous the practice is.

and goes to show that most pinoys on the road do not know how to properly use their turn signals in any circumstance  :-D

merge > engage turn signal while merging > complete merge > merge back immediately (kasi di umandar yung lane na nilipatan) > disengage turn signal

Speaking of turn signals. Bakit may ba may nga driver, or should I say operator ng sasakyan, na sumisignal light kapag mismong paliko na? Nakatago ba sa loob ng sasakyan nila yun turn signal light switch?! Di mo tuloy mapaghandaan yun paglipat ng lane kasi late na sila nagsisignal. Damay pa ako sa pagfullstop nila. Buset eh!

sooo..

mali yung mag hazard pag zero visibility? kinda confused...para ba siyang horn honking everywhere syndrome???

I do use the hazard when driving at zero visibility..for me I think its a good precaution..

do let me know kung mali..para matigil yung practice na iyob.

In a way yes hehe  kasi for me  Hazard warning signal is used to warn other road-users of a particular danger or when a vehicle which has broken down or has been involved in an accident and cannot be moved immediately para ma signal sa ibang motorist na you have a problem with the car or simply naka full stop ka sa isang tabi pang samantala to deal with something weather checking your engine or wheels.

If zero visibility is your main concern I would prefer you turn on your park lights para naka ilaw tail lights mo and pwede mo din naman isabay fog lamps and head lamps mo kesa mag hazzard ka hehe mas useful yung ilaw talaga :)

So sama nadin pala natin mga buwaya na politiko at mga ankan nilang may mga security convoy..na gumagawa ng mali..

so, hazard light is only used when car is at a stop..never while its moving..

well,

palagay ko  nasanay na mga pinoy sa ganyan..so ganun talaga.. kahit ako, aminado na nasanay sa ganyang system... and pag practice driving ...

kung baga ang logic..ay: signal light hazard= something going on with this car so stay alert...

totoo bro gandy. the newbie driver of course may not have an idea how it all works, tapos pag naituro na ng iba sa kanya,
ang hirap ng baguhin.

so best talaga to start on the correct footing as far as learning how to drive

may tanong ako, pag nagbaback out sa isang parking space rear side first, good etiquette ba mag hazard? kasi in terms of the car moving, naka-hazard lang ako pag may mali sa kotse ko (flat tyres, brake problems, pag may warning light sa dash na diko maintindihan/dapat pag-ingatan). ang iniisip ko kasi, yes may white reverse light naman, pero di sya kita pag nag back out ka sa isang space, pero yung hazard kita sya, and at the same time di ko makikita kung may parating na kotse until halfway out na yung kotse ko.
