Hello mga sir, Tanong ko lang po kung ano maganda step down o avr para sa macro techs since 110volts to. papasok po kasi kami ng sound rental business within this year. salamat po! :?

tama si sir audiomix, most branded amps have multi tapped traffo primaries which could be configured by the service centers or qualified personnel. pero pede rin user configurable basta follow mo lang instructions nya,  :-D i wouldn't advise connecting 2 amps in series, better use step down traffos to be safe.

sir alfinest you could contact audiophile components, m.l. rapacon or musicphile for the voltage conversion if your in doubt. ask if how much will they charge first sa kanila lahat baka mahal din sa audiophile.

ayan na naman po!!! seriously????? are you for real?

sisirain mo pa yung mga amps.. paano kung di pantay ang delivered power ng mga power amps, e di ma-oover voltage yung isa. to illustrate, try putting two identical resistors in series (simulating two series connected loads that draws equal power). sure they will divide the voltage equally between them.  but see what happens when you connect in series two resistor with unequal value, say 4.7k and 1k (simmulating two series connected amps, delivering unequal power to the respective loads). the voltage across the 4.7k resistor will be much higher. just imagine this happening to series connected amplifiers.

sir alfinest, wag na wag nyo pong gagawin yung series suggestion..

the best that you can do is to buy a automatic voltage regulator with 110v output in it. Wag mo ie sacrifice ang amp mo mahal yan hahaha baka bigla umusok tapos ang laban.

Use CVT (Constant Voltage Transformer)...Sola makes one of the best...it was referred to you by Mr. Audiomix-loag.

AVR that uses servo motor variac transformer are soooo...sloooow...also goes with relay type AVR.

Audiomix is right all the way...yun ang sundin mo para huwag magka-series series ang problema at gastos mo...

sir you can series two transformer to make it 220V
I already try it to my previous customer when he brought it to my shop 12 years ago you can save money if you will try it or ask a professional technician about it. experience not theory to proof it work :-D

you said earlier sir ultimate to connect two amps in series..
two traffos in series will work, especially if same rating and same load. same rated traffos but different load will produce unequal voltage on their primaries, that is di sila equally divided sa 110 volts, 2 different traffos in series will also receive unequal voltages

a 10 watt 110volts bulb in series with 100 watt 110 volts plugged into 220 volts. ano kaya mangyayari? or better yet 1 par 64 110 volts series mo sa 2 par 64 110volts  in parallel then plug mo sa 220,,, :-D

Yes you can do that "IF" it is in the circuit of one (1) single power amplifier as shown in your picture...you are right.

But never sa two separate amp...at kahit na pareho pa sila ng gene...at kahit pa in mono parallel mode...they will allways have different electrical consumption due to acoustical loading of the speakers Z (Impedance)...they may survive for a while since Audio is transient (changing Frequencies and Amplitudes) but in expense of a compromised efficiency.

if you want to series two transformer make sure they are same as in same lahat ng specs para pantay ang labas ng volt wag kayong matakot kung series connection mas matibay ang series kaysa parallel mas hindi umiinit ang series connection. if you want check ninyo ang multi taping nang ibang transformer minsan may dalawang 110v ang provide ng factory pag 110v parallel lang pag 220V naka series yung dalawang 110V. same lang yan kahit dalawang seperate transformer ganoon din , hindi ako mag advice sa inyo kung hindi ako siguro o hindi ko pa nasubukan ito .kaya ko share sa inyo para din kayo makatipid kung bilili ka nang avr sa ngayon 15kv 20t kulang pa. yong nasa picture colne nang crown bz3600. sino pala sa inyo nag start ng mobile nuong 1986 to 2000 pumupunta na ba kayo sa raon have you heard of JPL power amp at that time?

mas maganda kung dual mono same ang transformer gaya nang nasa picture mas matibay mas hindi iinit yung transformer  :-) wag ka lang magkamali sa pag series or boom yan ang makakatakot.

if you want to series two transformer make sure they are same as in same lahat ng specs para pantay ang labas ng volt

it is clearly shown by the TS that the amps are not of the same model, which means that the traffos do not have the same specs and yet you suggested the series connection. tsk, tsk, tsk... by the way, it is ok to connect in series TWO EQUAL WINDINGS for a certain voltage to make it work for twice the voltage, provided they are in the same core and proper phasing is observed.. but for two separate transformers feeding DIFFERENT load/circuit, not recommended for safety's sake.

if you want check ninyo ang multi taping nang ibang transformer minsan may dalawang 110v ang provide ng factory pag 110v parallel lang pag 220V naka series yung dalawang 110V.

no argument here, this is completely proper. as stated above, the two 110V windings are on the same core.

same lang yan kahit dalawang seperate transformer ganoon din.

nope, it is NOT the same.

hindi ako mag advice sa inyo kung hindi ako siguro o hindi ko pa nasubukan ito .

yeah right..
did you connect in series two transformers inside one amp? or did you connect two 110V amplifiers in series via their power plugs?

kaya ko share sa inyo para din kayo makatipid kung bilili ka nang avr sa ngayon 15kv 20t kulang pa.

yeah, the TS has 6 original (not clone) crown amps. that  20k is just a very small fraction of the cost of the amps that will go up in smokes if they follow your suggestion.

yong nasa picture colne nang crown bz3600.

that's two transformers inside ONE amp.  totally different scenario. clearly, you do not understand the possible consequences of your suggestion. yung pinapakita mong example, iisang amp yan hindi multiple amps in series.

Isang tanong lang sir lightech have you try it if you have havent try it you will never ask those questions if you have try it before, i have done it walang uusok gaya nang sinasabi mo, ang sa akin lang kung saan ka makakatip kung pupuwede naman bakit ka pa gagastos nang malaki kung ok naman, wala ako mapapala sa sa pagturo ko magmamagandang loob lang ako  kung puro batikos lang wag na lang, I am 48 years old madami na akong pinag daan  kung sa experiecne ang pag uusapan .hindi ako nag suggest  kapag hindi ako sigurado, i know what am doing for the past 20 years. we have a store in raon selling parts with repair in 1986 up to 2000 before i change my business to wholesale. I my self doing repair but for hi end only and for special frnds  doing diy for mobile more than 50 units i have sold in the past JPL, i also repair speaker rewind recone even magnet alligment , now live products
