For me I'd go for the paiste 201... but still I think you should go for what your ears like the most...

given the two choices above, I'd also go for Planet Z...

pero kung kaya mo pa mag antay at mag ipon nang konti..bili ka na nang mas mataas na model than the two... :-)

Planet Z hats sound like... our washing machine on a high-speed setting. The crash is less-bad but still doesn't project. The Solar crash sounds like a ride bow-hit even when you apply force.

The Planet Z is better than the Solar IMO, but not dramatically so. Look for 2nd hand deals on better pies. Remember, you can always make low-end drums sound passable - but you simply can't improve the sound of a low-end cymbal. :-D

go for hi-end talaga, kasi mas magastos kung low-end tapos palit ng high-end

What is the best entry level ride cymbal for you?
« Reply #121 on: October 12, 2010, 12:07:10 PM »
I'm planning to buy an entry level ride cymbal for my practice kit at home. Wala akong banda at every Sunday mornings or afternoons lang ako nagprapractice. Hilig ko lang talaga, at I consider drumming as an exercise kaya ako nagbubuo ng kit ngayon. Well, going back to the topic, here are my choices for my ride cymbals:
1.) Zildjian ZBT Ride

2.) Sabian B8 Ride

3.) Paiste 302 Ride
