para sakin dude mag zbt or b8 kanalang kaysa mag planet Z ka,mura nga planet but ilang month or weeks lang ang sama na ng itsura at tunog nyan, balewala din bili ka ulit ng cymbals, hindi baleng gumastos ng mahal basta sa sigurado ka ng brand, ipon lang ng ipon, kahit matagalan at least sicgurado ka sa binili mo, un lang bro, wag na wag ka mag Planet Z, advise ko lng ha,(excuse sa mga planet Z's) hehe, not advisable kc sakin un e, saka ung sabe mung paiste?hehe not cost that much ha?! hehe aus din pede rin..

If I wanted a cymbal set to sound great even if it doesn't cost that much, what would you guys recommend?

I want a simple set up like the ff:

14" hats
16" crash
18" crash ride

I was thinking of paiste or planet Z?
Well, I'll leave it up to you guys. Tnx.

after our drum event last night with robert,jp and the gang, i was shocked on how the stagg cymbals projected...especially the myra crashes...man, definitely i'll go with stagg rather than low end, sheet cymbals out in the market.
happy new year bro. :-)

pare in drumming, it's like an investment. we have to face the truth that money talks when it comes to cymbals. pare it's like buying jewellry, you're buying for the prestige and respect, in terms of cymbals, you're buying the quality and sound of it. Pero kung tagtipid ka, what i can recommend you are the following:

Zildjian ZHT set
Sabian B8 set
Stagg Cymbals (DH,SH series)

pero, kung gagamitin mo naman for a lifetime yung cymbals mo, i'd reccomend that you save up for the high end ones like:

Zildjian K, K Custom, A, A Custom, Z Custom
Sabian HH, HHX, AA, AAX, Vault
Paiste Signature series

it will all be worth it pare. as long as you'd learn how to take care of your cymbals. :) ayun. cheers. merry after christmas and happy new year. :)
There are only two kinds of music, the good and the bad. ; There's no need to classify as long as you can play. -Buddy Rich

wow! all of them are correct...ano pa kaya pwede ko idagdag?

oo nga pala, each brand has a different personality or sound character...

what i mean by this is Zildjian cymbals have a different sound character from Sabian cymbals, Paiste, etc. i don't know the specific terminology for their character but i hope you get my point.

so again, it depends on your taste or should i say on your hearing.

minsan lang kasi, "what the ear wants, the pocket doesn't."...hehehe

well, that's why meron tayong Stagg cymbals, pasok lahat ang budget. at talagang quality pa. i have a couple myself.

hope this helps also.

tama si sir jack get staggs  I own a 16 and a 17 myra crash and boy did I get more than what I paid for, pili ka lang sa stocks kasi iba iba nga ang tunog, yung 16 ko as in parang AAXplosion ang tunog (comment coming from an AAXplosion owner)... kaya ngayon plan ko full stagg setup, kailangan ko lang maghanap ng pera pambili hehehe
matututo kaya ako magdrums? kelan kaya iyon...

i'm not sure kung sa ibang asian countries meron ngang Stagg na available. meron din silang set na DH at SH na binibenta but i'm not sure abouot the pricing.

consult with black_panther about it...

hope this helps!
